Perfect location!!

  • 5 of 5

First time ever in the finger lakes and this house made the experience perfect. Spent a few days with my sisters and had an amazing time. The views were spectacular. Enjoyed the deck, grilled and used the fire pit one evening. It was hot when we went so having that lake and kayaks was perfect. Would absolutely stay here again!!

The cottage was perfect for a quiet weekend getaway. Views from the deck were absolutely incredible!!!!! The cottage was adorable, clean, very private and exactly as described. The owners were very nice and easy to deal with. We enjoyed numerous local wineries and breweries that were close by, watkins glen state park, kayaking, the fire pit and so much more!!!! I definitely recommend staying here.....centrally located, yet private, quiet and secluded and you couldn't ask for a better view!!!!

This place is perfect! We stayed with our 2 labs. Beautiful sunsets are guaranteed each night and one of the best wineries is not even a mile away (Silver Thread Winery). Everything you need is right here! We enjoyed Ithaca, Watkins Glen State Park (a MUST SEE - went here twice - one time with the pups and one time with out them) and awesome restaurants all very near to the cabin. A long dirt road will take you into the cabin, where you pass the grape vines - that's what makes this cabin pet-perfect - almost zero traffic. We even saw foxes hanging out in the vineyard in back of the "Fox & Grapes" B&B! Dano's was always packed - didn't go there, although I hear the food is good (but very expensive.) Stonecat Café is a must - (get the catfish). A very dog-friendly area - most wineries have outside seating to take your pups with you. Also - check out Finger Lakes National Forest for great hiking trails. The cabin is very centrally located to everything - way to much to do, wish we would have stayed longer! We WILL be back!!

Rustic Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here with my family recently and we miss it already! It has a very cozy and homey feel; its not too small or big and has everything you need. It was clean and easy to settle into. The fire pit was lovely at night. We ate breakfast every morning outside on the deck.

The sunset views were absolutely beautiful; not only from the dock but from the deck and through the windows as well. Private and very peaceful. I would recommend eating at Dano's Restaurant and the Stonecat Cafe which are both down the road and both have delicious food and good service. There are also vineyards literally everywhere which is awesome for any wine lover! Would definitely stay again.

My New Favorite Vacation Spot!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was a little piece of heaven! We 4 adults and our pups loved the large deck overlooking Seneca Lake (beautiful sunsets every night!), the quiet & tucked-away privacy, the firepit, and the easy trek down the hill to the lake. This little spot really is a gem: you can have your lake time (swimming, fishing, boating), fireside chats, scenic hiking, and experience the best wine trail just up the road from the cottage (the locals are SO FRIENDLY!). BY THE WAY: you get to drive through a vineyard to get to the cottage: what a first impression! Michael, the owner, was very easy to work with: he even had 2 kayaks for our usage, so we didn't have to rent any (not sure if that is a standard, but we felt lucky). I plan on being a repeat guest because this property exceeded all my expectations, and was an ideal getaway.

Just what we needed

This is the best kept secret on Seneca Lake. The cottage was exactly as described. A very clean, comfortable and private lake cottage. We were excited to be able to bring our dog with us.
