Lovely Little Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seagrape II! The cottage was just as described - charming, clean, well appointed and in a fabulous location. Our little Coton loved chasing lizards in the side yard and eating out at the pet-friendly restaurants nearby. We're looking forward to coming back again!

Seagrape II - The property was exactly as described. Extremely clean! Owners are great.

We arrived a little early due to Hurricane Matthew. We are from Gainesville and winds and rain was possibly going to be heavy in the area. The unit was open and we unloaded our stuff. As it turned out, the owner was in the other unit doing some repairs before renters were supposed to arrive the next day. My daughter and I had the opportunity to meet the owners who were very nice.

The unit was perfect for our needs and had a lot of storage. Although we did not cook in the kitchen. It had a nice kitchen area with a full-sized refrigerator, including a microwave. The ice maker produced ice great. The bathroom shower had plenty of hot water. There was plenty of lighting throughout the unit. As a second bed, the fold out couch was quite comfortable.

The unit was across the street from the beach. It was only two miles from Longboat Key and easily accessible to everything on Anna Maria Island. Should anyone wish to rent a golf cart for their visit, we recommend Beach Bums rental. The staff at Beach Bums are very friendly...

Bridge Tender Bridge Inn and Harry's Restuarant's are casual and very pet-friendly. Their staffs are great..! Joe's ice cream portions are very generous and has several home-made flavors.

The units have a gas grill for those who which to grill out. There is also an outside table and chairs in the back yard. Available for use are some beach chairs. There are bath towels and linens for the bed and fold-out couch. We were allowed a small house-broken dog.

I would recommend this unit for 2-4 people to everyone. The unit next-door is much larger. These units were built in 1927 and nicely furnished and maintained.

Very well kept, nice amenities.

Only issue is parking if you have more than 1 car. Also, we had red tide when we came up.

Otherwise, we had everything we needed to enjoy the island comfortably. I recommend this place and this owner.

Amazing stay at Sea Grape II

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing 7 night stay at Anna Maria Island, FL and the Seagrape II made it all possible. What a cute cottage with everything provided to make our stay enjoyable. The location was perfect, being about 100 feet to the beach, and walking distance to the popular Bridge Street, eateries and the Fishing Pier. We certainly are planing to go back and would love to be able to stay at the Seagrape II again.

Be sure and eat at Bones BBQ and eat and watch the sunset, eat great food and good music at the Gulf Drive Cafe' and Tiki Bar.

New found favorite

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved this cottage. Quiet, clean and within walking distance of everything. Amazing food at Freckled Fin, trolly ride to skinnys for a burger and lastly we had amazing bbq at Mr Bones. The beach access is directly across the street too. Even though it was August we had a nice breeze sitting in the back patio. Quiet streets surround where you can walk and take in the relaxing island. Comfortable bed, ice cold air, the kitchen is wonderfully equipped. We can't wait to stay again- glad we are from Sarasota so we are only 30 minutes across the bridge.

Awesome Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at Seagrape II. Dan and Renae were so responsive and friendly when we reached out to them. The cottage was perfect for us and located so close to everything. We walked everywhere and enjoyed using the free trolley. Our favorite restaurant was Star Fish Company. Best seafood we have ever had and we live at a beach ourselves! The cottage was well maintained and had plenty of room for us and our little dog Flash. Thanks to Dan and Ranae for providing us such a special vacation! Hope to visit again.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the excellent review. You pointed out so many of the things we love about Seagrape II, the location and the island. The cottage is nicely furnished and a comfortable size for several days or a few weeks. It is a short walk to Bridge Street and the many restaurants, bars, shops, ice cream and the pier. The free trolley takes you nearly the length of the island which makes it very convenient. Finally, its always good to hear about restaurants guests have enjoyed. There are many to choose from. Thanks again for the great review and we'd love to have you stay at Seagrape II again. Renea and Dan
