Fantastic

If you are looking to unwind, relax , this area and home is it.

I have been snow birding for 18 years and this home ranks pretty close to the top. Everything you want is right here from a fully equipped kitchen with all the utensils you need. Two bedrooms and a third one if you need it.

If you have a boat , this house has a boathouse .

A tv in every room plus Internet.

When I had a problem with hot water ,Tim took care of it with a new water heater in one day.

A better house and landlord you can cannot find.

Many thanks from both of us

Ps. Take care and keep your head down,

Leonard & Gloria

Excellent rental for the winter

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent the winter of 2014-15 in Tim Anderson's vacation house on Lemon Rd. NE in Lake Placid, Florida. We have been renters in the Lake Placid area for 10 winter seasons in various houses. This house was one of the best we have rented. It was nicely furnished (comfortable beds, flat screen big TV's, sectional sofa to seat a lot of people, patio set and barbeque on the screened porch, plenty of linens and kitchen was well furnished with nothing lacking). The entire house had been completely remodeled (new kitchen, baths, paint, tile, etc.),. Tim had done most of the work on the house himself, and the quality was impeccable. There was nothing lacking in the house and Tim was very easy to work with, although we had little contact after moving in as everything was in such good working order that there was no need to contact him for anything. The house is located in the subdivision of Placid Lakes and consequently has it's own municipal water supply. We have rented other properties in Lake Placid where the water supply was not municipal (well only) and it was a struggle to get decent drinking water. Not so with this house located in Placid Lakes. Our only complaint was that the Internet was very intermittent. Comcast was the supplier, and everyone in Lake Placid who had Comcast was complaining about it. We would still be renting this house except for the fact that we ended up buying our own vacation home in Lake Placid. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a rental to not look beyond this particular house. You won't find anything better in Lake Placid.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your excellent rating. It was a pleasure meeting the two of you and we appreciate the way you kept our vacation home so clean. We can only hope to find future vacationers that are so nice and clean as you were. Due to limited internet providers in the area, Comcast is seems to be the best one right now. Although, we are continuously looking for something better. Congratulations on your home purchase in Lake Placid and hope to see you around.

Location

Activity and Interests

Lake Placid Florida has so much to offer; it's no wonder more and more people are calling it home! Just ask Reader's Digest who voted Lake Placid Florida America's Most Interesting Town!!

Known as the Caladium Capital of the World, Lake Placid has 27 freshwater lakes, beautiful Murals around town depicting our history, Toby's Clown School and the historical Happiness Tower which rises 270 feet above ground. (Sorry, Tower tours are not available at this time)

There is always something to see or do in Lake Placid. October through March, the Saturday Morning Market is held on the 2nd Saturday of the month. Annually, we have our Country Fair and Caladium Festivals. Enjoy a historically good time at the Depot Museum which is the home of the red caboose and local history artifacts displayed by the Lake Placid Historical Society.

Fishing is at its best in Lake June. Enjoy fishing, water skiing, wake boarding, jet skiing, or a leisure ride in the boat on the huge 3,504 acre lake. Lake June in Winter Scrub State Park offers nearly 3 miles of shoreline along the western side of Lake June. The site protects 845 acres of rare scrub habitat and is home to 19 rare plant and animal species. The park offers nature trails and a place for picnicking, nature study, and bird watching. Southern Bald Eagles and Osprey nests are on the property. There is parking for 10 vehicles, a picnic shelter, and a composting toilet. The property is comprised of 845 acres of pristine scrub, a desert-like community of rare plants, white sands, and abundant wildlife in an area frequented by songbirds.

Placid Lakes Country Club golf course offers an 18-hole par 72 course that includes TifEagle greens, a full practice facility, and extensive remodeling of the dining facility.

Just a quick stroll around the corner will bring you to the Placid Lakes Recreation Center (entry card required and provided to guests) that offers a private boat ramp, picnic facilities, and a playground.
