NOTE TO GUESTS: My address and vehicular access to my home and property changed effective December 2016. Access: Scenic Highway, Summit Drive and then turn right on Sparkling Drive. We are the last house on the left at #34535 Sparkling Drive on Lake Sebring. GPS access is not fully updated to reflect renaming of my road to Sparkling Dr on some GPS systems. Once on Sparkling Drive, point your GPS to the old numbered 3599 Sparking Drive (now changed as well to 5 numbers) which is about 300 yards from my home and apartment are located at #34535 Sparkling Drive (last house on the left located directly on Lake Sebring at the end of the cul-de-sac).

Spacious and peaceful 1 BR (or newly added first floor 2nd bedroom and ensuite bath available at additional charge). This lakefront Apartment located on the second floor (16 stairway steps) directly above an oversized garage (converted to a two car garage with newly added lock-off studio apartment hotel style bedroom with ensuite bath. Both are attached to this owner occupied single family home; purchased in March 2013 and totally updated in 2013/2014/2015/2016 and 2017!

The apartment has its dedicated private access from the front of the house and is in like new virtually never used condition; ready to call home for a week, a month, a season or more. The apartment comfortably sleeps six (if both bedrooms are rented) with privacy for up to three couples (or two or more children).

The second studio apartment and ensuite bath is located via private interior access to our air conditioned garage along a carpeted runner to both the bathroom and the lakeside outside door. (This is Ideal for another couple's use should you have guests join you.) A separate full size washer / dryer for the apartment is also located by carpeted runner in the garage for the exclusive use of the second floor apartment as well as the first floor studio hotel style bedroom and bath.

I provide full linens, towels and a well equipped kitchen, small appliances, iron, hair dryer, ironing board as well.

Absolutely no smoking is allowed inside; however there is covered outside space for smoking at the apartment entrance at the front of the house, and anywhere else for that matter on our grounds and patio.

Outdoors you will find a patio table and seating for 6; gas grill, zero gravity chairs, beach chairs, row boat, paddle boat, fire pit and dock with cleats for your boat should you decide to bring that along.

This property is set back from the road with over 200 feet of frontage on Lake Sebring. My lot is professionally landscaped and maintained. There is a long dock that can accommodate up to a 24 foot boat which you are welcome to bring. (The boat launch is directly across the lake from our house.) Guests that have stayed my property share that they feel like they are staying at a resort!

About Peter Anderson

My name is Peter Anderson. I purchased this home in March 2013 (relocated from Fort Lauderdale, FL) and moved in after substantial improvements to the property were completed in October 2013.

I am the managing member of a web based musical instrument insurance business operating on six continents and based, here in Sebring, FL. My oldest daughter and two granddaughters (ages almost 3 and 11) live directly across from our driveway and are regular fixtures here either visiting, or sleep over, or use of the lake, grounds and pool.

i am a native of Marshfield MA and lived until 2006 in Norwell, MA and Boston MA. In 2006 I moved to a high rise condo on the Intercostal waterway Fort Lauderdale. In early 2013 I decided that condo living was not for me! A home search began in Broward County (Fort Lauderdale) in January 2013 and ended here in Sebring.

Why Peter Anderson chose Sebring

I visited Sebring in February 2013 to visit friends in town and decided to meet with a local Realtor as our home search at that point was in full swing. After seeing our home at 34535 Sparkling Drive, I made an offer and bought this lovely home.

The garage and apartment were constructed in 1998 by the prior owners and they lived in the apartment for 4 to 5 years so you will find many amenities and comfortably sized rooms. The apartment is approximately 900 sq ft in size.

The prior owners constructed the attached single family home in 2002/2003.

The property lot is pie shaped and it fans out from 50' at Sparkling Drive to 220 feet on Lake Sebring. There is a great deal of privacy on this lot and it is located in a very peaceful neighborhood at the end of a cul-de-sac. The property is ideally located minutes away from Publix, WinDixie and Walmart as well as many shops, big box stores, restaurants and a half dozen popular golf courses.

If you enjoy sunsets, this is the place! The sunsets and colors before, during and after the sunset will amaze you. Don't forget to bring your camera!

Since this is my home, and primary residence, my property is in a constant state of improvement and new features and amenities added. My grounds look like they come right out of magazine and I love to share this property with new guests visiting from all over.

What makes this apartment unique

What is a unique benefit to staying in our apartment. A picture is worth a 1,000 words! While I also live here on the property, the house, 2nd floor apartment and 1st floor studio apartment are totally separate and private.

While I do need to traverse the stairway landing to get to the garage (also your access to the apartment) I try to do so quietly without disturbing your piece and quiet.

Having lived in a condo building with 118 units for 8 years, I am very accustomed to see folks around our house and enjoy saying hello to our guests but would never be intrusive or overbearing! I live on the property and happy to be a resource for area information as well as anything that might come up.

If you decide to spend your vacation here, I am confident that you will fall in love with this property just like I have. I have invested for long term ownership.

Includes our Private Beach, Patio area, your own Gas Grill, Fire Pit and newly landscaped grounds totalling about 1 acre. Rental also includes use of our dock, row boat and paddle boat. (Dock space also available for your boat.) Don't forget your fishing gear! Living/Dining Area faces West for those fabled Sunset views!! Loads of storage in huge MBR walk in closet plus the living room closet and large pantry off kitchen. Apartment comes fully equipped with a ready to cook and serve kitchen, broadband wired and wireless internet and DISH Hopper with Americas Top 200 TV with HBO. Living Room has a brand new comfy Queen Size sleeper with an adjustable firmness air mattress. (Twin size air bed also available on request.) There are two TVs hooked up to our Dish package in the apartment; a 32' HD TV and a 28' TV with built in DVD and VCR player circa 2002 in the bedroom. New built in Bosch Dishwasher to be installed Jan 29, 2014.

Comfortable, quiet, convenient.....everything you would want in a home!

Our 10 day stay was a wonderful VRBO experience. Peter goes out of his way to make sure you have every comfort. The sunset views from the large LR window are awesome. Apartment is well supplied to meet every need, and the convenient private entrance makes you feel you are in your own home! If you are going to the Sebring area.....this is the place to stay!

Quiet and beautiful view of the lake.

The owner, Peter, was very accommodating and pleasant. The apartment was spacious and attractive. Fully equipped kitchen. Beautiful sunsets over the lake in a quiet neighborhood. Short drive to walking path around Lake Jackson. This was our first experience renting and we were satisfied with the service.

Great charm

Driving up to the home you can see right away the charm it holds...the beautiful layout and scenery. The grounds and home were immaculate and picturesque. The host communicated with me before arrival and was very accommodating, insuring that I was taken care of. Unfortunately, I was on a business trip and was not able to enjoy everything this place has to offer. So make sure if you plan a visit, plan your enjoyment time as well. It is won't be disappointed with your stay.

What a view with all the bells and whistles!

This apartment has everything one would need to have a deluxe vacation! Comfortable bed, rain showerhead, very well-equipped kitchen, large TV with Satellite, room to move around and a peaceful view of the lake and sunsets!

The owners are wonderful, quick to respond to any concerns, none really. Would come back in a heart beat.

A home away from home.

Light, comfortable, and a beautiful view. Felt very much like home. Kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed the family of Sandhills walking across the beach each morning and evening.

Located on Lake Sebring, Sebring FL in South Central Florida (Sebring Parkway to Scenic Highway) and just minutes away from major stores, restaurants, and shopping. Historic Downtown Sebring and Hammock State Park are located about 10 minutes away. Bok Tower and Gardens and Legoland are less than 40 minutes away. In about an hour or so you can make it to Disney as well as the Atlantic or Gulf coasts. Lake Sebring and Highlands County offers public access to most lakes, swimming, boating, hiking, cycling and water sports. If Golfing is your passion, there are a number of public and semi private golf courses in the immediate area too.

ALL RATES ARE SUBJECT TO A 9% TAX (FL & COUNTY SALES, USE & TOURIST TAX). We are required to add 9% to your total rental charges.
Please note that our rates for stays during the 12 Hours of Sebring Races (held in March) are $1,000 plus 9% tax for one person with $100 additional per person; flat charge. This rate covers up to 7 nights during Race Week.

Manager's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
