If you love old beach houses you will love this house.

The home has 2 bedrooms and a full bath with a brand new soaker tub and shower. Note** there is only one shower/tub in the home, but there is a new Rinnai Bottomless Hot water tank, so you will never run out of hot water for showers (There is another half bath downstairs). Upstairs is the 'TWIN ROOM' it has three twin beds. Also upstairs is the 'MASTER SUITE' which has a king size bed, there are his and hers closets, and a sleeping porch off this room that can be used for extra luggage, or a twin size roll away if needed.

Downstairs is the 'BAMBOO ROOM' as we call it, it has a queen size bed and the 1/2 bath is also off this room. Also downstairs is the living room, dining room, sun porch, kitchen, and laundry rooms. There is a fireplace, however it is NOT functional at this time...sorry

Our home is set on a double lot so there is plenty of fenced parking on the property.

Perfect central location

  • 5 of 5

First of all, this house is so cute and has so much charm. Pam and Mark really thought of everything to make their guests feel comfortable. Towels, linens, and paper goods were provided. All we needed was our own food for the week. Everything was very neat and clean as well. The house is very close to the Downtown area which was very convenient. We went down for bike week and were able to close all the bikes in the yard and had no issues with security. There were a lot of "street walkers" as we called them, but our group wasn't bothered and found it quite entertaining. It is the beach after all, you see all walks in a beach town.

Very satisfied, and depending on the size of our group we would love to come back next year!

OK house but it needs updating, fence needed to keep bums out, cop car was parked next to the house!

  • 2 of 5

The property is fenced in because there are bums and other folks who randomly walk down the street. We did not have any issues, but we did not exactly feel safe either. We had a cop car parked outside of the house for a half hour or so, usually not a good sign of the quality of the neighborhood! The house has only one full bathroom and its upstairs, we did not have a large party so it was ok, but if you have a larger family the single shower is going to cause issues and gridlock as you try to get ready in the morning. There was a nice place to park the car behind the fenced in area on the left of the house, our cars were not broken into which was positive. The power panel to the house should be updated, the power flickered a few times during our stay, the only things we had plugged in was a couple of phone chargers....not a huge load like a hairdryer. The house needs some updating, not much you can do about the neighborhood.

Owner's Response: Thank you for for your comments. I'm sorry that you, and the other men did not feel safe while visiting our home, and that you felt it was only worth 2 stars. We have never since we have lived there (for years) had one issue, and have never heard of one break in anywhere around us. We know most of our neighbors around us, and everyone loves living there. And no one can change their neighborhood that's for sure. It's true we do have a Policeman that lives behind us, and yes Daytona definitely has its share of homeless like most any other downtown city, but as a beach town people tend walk and bike all the time, so it's not uncommon to see when you are from here. We clearly state in our listing that our home is in the downtown historic district and is almost 100 years old. We do nothing to hide that fact. We also clearly state how many bedrooms and that we have only one full bath and one half bath, but that we have a bottomless hot water system. Again why would you ding us on something you already knew??? Wondering if you even read our listing? I know we love older homes and the charm they hold. However not everyone appreciates older homes that's why we clearly disclose anything that might be perceived as a negative in our listing, so that we do not have disappointed guests, and thus receive a poor review, so I feel that your review is a unfair. The flicking power is an issue with the city and is out of our control, it can happen in any city at any time. and depends greatly on the weather. In all the time we have been renting our home out, over 3 years yours is the first review we have received less than 5 stars. Again I am sorry you felt uncomfortable and insecure while staying with us, but in reading our listing you probably should have chosen a more modern accommodation. Good Day!

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing experience with Pam and Mark. They made us feel taken care of and very comfortable. The home had everything you could ask for and more. It was very clean, well decorated and charming. We would stay there again and recommend friend and family. Thank you.

Nice home

  • 5 of 5

The home was very nice and comfy, beds were awesome and over 200 channels on TV. We were in Daytona to bring our son to College. And although the house is well worth the price I am not a fan of Daytona Beach but would stay here again if I need to be in area
