Wayman House is located on a quiet side street, in the village of Bar Harbor, with views of Cadillac Mountain. Take a short walk to the end of Wayman Lane, to the entrance of the historic 150 year old shore path, with breathtaking views of Frenchman's Bay and the Porcupine Islands. Bring your bikes, as you are within riding distance of the start of 42 miles of carrige roads within Acadia National Park. Two blocks to YMCA and the ball field, were you can safely run your dogs.

The recently built home is emaculate, with updated appliances and hard wood floors down stairs. This home is ideal for three couples or families of 6, who are ready to explore the wonders and adventure that await, in nearby Acadia National Park. 'Wayman House' offers 3 bedrooms that can accommodate up to 8. The unit has wireless. There is a powder room on the first floor, along with the washer and dryer for your convenience. Off street parking, which accommodates 4 cars.

Floor Plan: The first floor has a lovely and spacious living room, dining area and luxury kitchen. A 50 inch television with DVD is in the living room. Also on the first floor is a half bathroom with washer and dryer. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a King size bed, and a private bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen size bed. The third bedroom queen size bed. The second bathroom has a shower/tub. A portable crib is available for families with an infant. We can provide an aero-bed for two additional children at no extra charge. A high chair is also available. This is a non smoking, pet freindly and children friendly home.

In most cases we do allow pets. Charcoal grill. Fans downstairs, AC units upstairs. Good cell reception.

We pride ourselves, in offering an immaculate, thoroughly clean home. The beds will be made with clean bedding, tastefully decorated with newer home furnishings, towels and bedding.

We strive to ensure that our guests will live in comfort, while visiting Mount Desert Island. We can accommodate reasonable special requests.

Perfect location!

We really enjoyed the Wayman house for our short stay in Bar Harbor. It is walking distance to everything and right next door to 3 great restaurants including Havana, where the Obama's dined on their visit! The home itself had everything we needed and a great wifi connection. Greg (the owner) was easily accessible and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. We would definitely stay at the Wayman house again.

Great Place to Stay in Bar Harbor

This was our second year at Wayman House & it was up to the same standards as last year. Greg is always very accommodating and helpful. The beds are incredibly comfortable which is different from most other rentals. The location is perfect for walking to breakfast/dinner, the Island Explorer buses and the Shore Path. We are going back next year for 3 weeks! Can't wait!

Another Great Stay!

We have been vacationing in Bar Harbor for 27 years and we rarely stay in the same place twice. But Wayman House is in such a perfect location, is so very comfortable and so extremely well managed that we had to return for a second year.

Leave the front door of the unit and turn left and you are steps away from the beautiful Shore Path. Turn right and you are steps away from the shops, restaurants, and movie theaters in town plus the free bus service that will take you anywhere on the island you care to go. All that to say that the location is tops. The unit is very clean and well cared for and has everything one needs for a great stay. We've stayed in rentals with old, uncomfortable furniture and second rate beds where you just don't feel like you can relax. This unit is furnished with exceptionally comfortable living room furniture and beds so you sleep well at night and if you happen to get a rainy day you can relax at home in front of the flat screen TV. Probably the best thing about the unit is the management. Greg is so easy to work with and really makes the renters' comfort and happiness his top priority. Anytime we've needed to contact him before, during, and even after our stay he has responded very quickly and taken care of our needs. We highly recommend this rental to anyone who wants to enjoy all that Bar Harbir and Acadia National Park have to offer.

Beautiful, spacious duplex right in the town of Bar Harbor

We loved our visit to the Wayman house. The property manager allowed us to bring our dog, who also loved the accomodations. The location is on a quiet street within the town of Bar Harbor. It was wonderful to be able to walk to all the shops and retaurants without driving! The place was spotless and the bedding was very comfortable. The property manager answered all my questions and helped to make this a very good choice for our stay near Acadia National Park. The park itself was gorgeous and the foliage was breathtaking. We had a fantistic trip and would recommend this home to our friends.

Excellent Stay!

What a great place to stay in Bar Harbor! This property was immaculately clean and we'll appointed. The furniture and beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was easy to cook in.

Throughout the entire rental process as well as during our stay Greg was accessible and responded promptly to any questions we had. He was so easy to work with.

Besides great accommodations and great management, this property has an ideal location with fantastic walkability. One end of the street begins the beautiful Shore Path, great for morning walks. At the other end is Main Street with all it's shops and restaurants. About a block away is the Village Green which is the hub for the free shuttle service that runs throughout Acadia. A block beyond the Green is Morning Glory Bakery, a must visit for breakfast treats. Many of the sightseeing boats, trolley tours, etc., leave from the end of Main Street. You could really park your car at this property, leave it for the week, and still see almost everything Bar Harbor and Acadia have to offer.

We highly recommend this property for a comfortable, complete, and convenient vacation in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

Great place

From the moment we opened the front door, this house welcomed us with its clean, spacious and first-rate quality. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, the décor was charming and the house easily accommodated four of us, but could have fit more. We brought our dog and was especially grateful the owners allowed pets. Furthermore, its location was perfect for both exploring Acadia National Park as well as the downtown Bar Harbor district. We highly recommend you stay here -- except for the weeks we want to return.
