Beautiful views

  • 4 of 5

We came up for Thanksgiving, and sadly it was cloudy most days however the last morning was clear and you could see the Olympics. It was gorgeous. Close to Langley with cute little stores and some good restaurants. Comfortable sleeping arrangements. Useless Bay is a nice beach to walk however it can be really windy so make sure to bundle up!

Beautiful Home Right on Useless Bay

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful, spacious home with gorgeous views. On a clear day you can see amazing snow topped mountain ranges in the distance. We spent a long weekend with another family. We each have a kid and the house was spacious enough to accommodate us comfortably. The kitchen is updated and so much fun to cook in, but there are plenty of cute restaurants nearby. We really felt like we were off the beaten path and came back rejuvenated after a relaxing weekend at the Sunlight House. Owners are very accomdating and have taken very good care of their home away form home--beautiful landscaping and fun décor.

An Easy Relaxed Beach Getaway

  • 5 of 5

A couple friends and our children did a quick overnight trip to the Sunlight House. The home was well-appointed and has lots of space to relax and play. And the views are incredible. It's a very short walk to a beautiful beach. While we were there, a wind storm resulted in a major power outage throughout the PNW. The property manager, Christine, was kind enough to check on us personally and provide us with options regarding our stay. Thankfully, the power came back on while she was there and we proceeded to have a lovely evening/morning. The proximity to Seattle was a bonus, as well-- a short drive and ferry ride.

Friends, dogs, and beach

  • 5 of 5

Six of us decided to spend a weekend with our dogs and the beach. This was the perfect place for us. An unobstructed view to the bay and a large well-protected deck provided what we needed. The endless adventure of the bay is only a two minute walk from the house. There is a hose out front so you can easily clean your dogs off after the beach and then walk them around to the deck. The deck is well gated so your pets have a perfect place to dry in the sun. The house has three full bedrooms and three bathrooms which made it ideal for the three couples that came. The large entertaining kitchen allows social connections to the deck and living room. The only drawback is there is no grill (silly insurance rule). Plenty of room and privacy for our very happy guests. Christina is a lovely lady and ensures that your stay is top notch. One of our guests left a personal item behind. Christina not only mailed it to us but offered to wash it before she need. Top notch place with top notch service. We will be back.

Fun mini family retreat

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed Thanksgiving Retreat at Sunlight House. We got sun, driving rain and beautiful snow all in 3 days! Something for everyone! Kitchen super equipped (I brought lots of my own tools, but never had to use them), lots of diversions for every age (board games, puzzles, ping pong, walks on the beachfront, books galore and of course wifi for those addicted) and a bonus was being able to bring our furry family members too. Hoping we can make Sunlight House an annual event!
