House, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, Sleeps 10

Enjoy an amazing sense of privacy just moments away from everything in this spacious home located just a few yards off the Muskegon River. One of only two homes located on a boat lanuch off of the causeway between Muskegon and North Muskegon, you can quickly access 4 bodies of water via water craft or vehicle - the Muskegon River, Muskegon Lake, Bear Lake and Lake Michigan. Hunting and fishing abound and this is the first area to offer access to open water in the spring as the Muskegon River rarely freezes over. From the second story deck you can enjoy both beautiful sunrises over the Muskegon River flats or gorgeous sunsets over Muskegon Lake. Wildlife frequent the area and we often see Blue Herons fly by and the occasional eagle and fox as well! The seawall running along the home is a favorite sunning spot for turtles and dear enjoy nibbling on the hostas if they can! All of this just moments from major highways in the area. The spacious second story living area is dominated by a large open living room with gas fireplace and custom designed leather sectional. This open onto a recently remodeled eat in kitchen and a dining room with access to the second story deck for al fresco dining and beautiful views. The upstairs living area is completed by 2 spacious bedrooms, a full laundry and large bathroom with both a separate shower and whirlpool tub. The downstairs includes an attached garage with a large open rec room with both tv viewing and gaming areas along with a bar and separate fridge. A pellet stove keeps it warm and cozy in the winter and another slider offers access to a backyard deck just a few feet from the river.

Located on the Muskegon River with easy access to Muskegon Lake, Bear Lake and Lake Michigan through the channel. The Bike Trail is located accross the street offering a beautiful trail running along the water and through downtown all the way to the sugar sand of Pere Marquette Beach. The River House is located 8 Miles from Pere Marquette, 6 Miles from North Muskegon State Park, 5.5 Miles from the historic North Muskegon Blockhouse, 6 Miles from Michigans Adventure Amusement Park and 7.5 Miles from the Winter Sports Complex which offers lighted skating and cross country ski trails as well as a full scale luge! Visit the Historic LST Landing ship in downtown Muskegon, Tour the Hackley House, an immacutlately restored Lumber Baron's home, or check out an actual World War II Submarine and maritime museum, the Silversides, located on the channel separating Muskegon Lake from Lake Michigan. While you are there you might catch a glimpse of a 1000 foot freighter passing through. Their are numerous festivals to attend, including the wildly popular Muskegon Bike Time and Irish Music Festival and the family friendly Unity Christian Music Festival. A Miniature Golf Course and GoKart facility which also rents Kayaks is within walking distance. Downtown Muskegon is home to two craft breweries - Pigeon Hill and Unruly Brewery along with numerous bars and restaurants.

Great house and location

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful weekend at the house right on the river! House was beautiful inside and out. We had everything we needed to just go and enjoy our time. Everything was spotless and the owners really went out of their to make sure we had all the details we needed regarding the area and lots of suggestions on things to do and see in the area. I would love to be able to visit again. I would recommend staying here to everyone that asked, it is such a better option then being stuck in a motel. Thank you Greg and Tracy :D for letting us enjoy your home.

What an awesome place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

The property was a perfect place to stay while in Muskegon! It was centrally located for all the activities we had planned. In addition the property was very clean and big enough to sleep 5. The view on the river is remarkable but most important was how we were treated by the owners. They were first class all the way. We will absolutely be back!

House was lovely with a great view!!

  • 4 of 5

Only complaint was we lost air conditioning on our last night. Other than that the view was great and good location to downtown Muskegon.

Beautiful views and convenient location

  • 5 of 5

Perfect vacation rental! Large gathering spaces indoors and outdoors. Our group was 3 adults and 2 children. We loved relaxing and watching the river, doing a bit of fishing and being able to cook some of our meals in the well appointed kitchen. Even though there is only one bathroom, it's very large with a jetted tub and separate shower so sharing was never a problem. Tracy and Greg are great hosts - very accommodating and lots of nice touches like fresh flowers. The location was great. It was a short drive to the beach, farmers market, the Cheese Lady, Michigan Adventure and we also visited Country Dairy in New Era which was fun. There is a great running/biking trail right across the street and we walked to miniature golf which is right next door. Lots of food options and grocery stores nearby as well. We will definitely be back!
