Overview

About the property

House, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, Sleeps 8

Enjoy an amazing sense of privacy just moments away from everything in this spacious home located just a few yards off the Muskegon River. One of only two homes located on a boat lanuch off of the causeway between Muskegon and North Muskegon, you can quickly access 4 bodies of water via water craft or vehicle - the Muskegon River, Muskegon Lake, Bear Lake and Lake Michigan. Hunting and fishing abound and this is the first area to offer access to open water in the spring as the Muskegon River rarely freezes over. From the second story deck you can enjoy both beautiful sunrises over the Muskegon River flats or gorgeous sunsets over Muskegon Lake. Wildlife frequent the area and we often see Blue Herons fly by and the occasional eagle and fox as well! The seawall running along the home is a favorite sunning spot for turtles and dear enjoy nibbling on the hostas if they can! All of this just moments from major highways in the area. The spacious second story living area is dominated by a large open living room with gas fireplace and large comfortable sectional. This open onto a recently remodeled eat in kitchen and a dining room with access to the second story deck for al fresco dining and beautiful views. The upstairs living area is completed by 2 spacious bedrooms, a full laundry and large bathroom with both a separate shower and whirlpool tub. The downstairs includes an attached garage with a large open rec room with both tv viewing and gaming areas along with a bar and separate fridge. A pellet stove keeps it warm and cozy in the winter and another slider offers access to a backyard deck just a few feet from the river.

Located on the Muskegon River with easy access to Muskegon Lake, Bear Lake and Lake Michigan through the channel. The Bike Trail is located accross the street offering a beautiful trail running along the water and through downtown all the way to the sugar sand of Pere Marquette Beach. The River House is located 8 Miles from Pere Marquette, 6 Miles from North Muskegon State Park, 5.5 Miles from the historic North Muskegon Blockhouse, 6 Miles from Michigans Adventure Amusement Park and 7.5 Miles from the Winter Sports Complex which offers lighted skating and cross country ski trails as well as a full scale luge! Visit the Historic LST Landing ship in downtown Muskegon, Tour the Hackley House, an immacutlately restored Lumber Baron's home, or check out an actual World War II Submarine and maritime museum, the Silversides, located on the channel separating Muskegon Lake from Lake Michigan. While you are there you might catch a glimpse of a 1000 foot freighter passing through. Their are numerous festivals to attend, including the wildly popular Muskegon Bike Time and Irish Music Festival and the family friendly Unity Christian Music Festival. A Miniature Golf Course and GoKart facility which also rents Kayaks is within walking distance. Downtown Muskegon is home to two craft breweries - Pigeon Hill and Unruly Brewery along with numerous bars and restaurants.

This is a beautiful location by the river with lovely owners.

  • 5 of 5

This home had everything! My boys loved fishing along the river and having a fire in the pit. They were able to snag Rock Bass, Big Mouth Bass and Catfish. We also rented a pontoon boat and enjoyed fishing at Muskegon and Bear Lake. We were able to dock the boat at the house and run in for anything we needed. The beach at the state park was also very beautiful and fun. After all this playing, it was very nice to come home to a lovely home and a whirlpool bath. The house was perfectly located and had everything you needed!

Lovely

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five stayed here over my husband's 50th b-day. The house was impeccably clean, and I'm fussy. It was spacious, had everything you need, and a lovely view of the river. We are coming back to this one. Just great.

Great Location

  • 4 of 5

This rental is in a great location, right next to the river. The highway is nearby but you won't hear the traffic. The home was clean and stocked with enough kitchen essentials so you shouldn't need to pack any. There is plenty of room in the home to enjoy some quiet time if needed. Large deck behind the home near the fire pit for everyone to enjoy. Great communication with the owner/management personnel. Would definitely rent again if the need arose.

Cozy and Spacious

  • 5 of 5

My three sisters and I stayed at this cozy, spacious home on the river. It was rainy outside, but the warmth of the decor, the nice added touches such as, fresh flowers on the dining room table and bathroom, made us all feel right at home. We also enjoyed using the fire pit outside, right on the river. It was a good location to go to restaurants and the beach, as well.

Beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

We had such a great time with our three little girls plus our puppy. We spent as much time as the weather would permit on the boat and fished to our families content. Gregg and Tracy were very helpful and sweet. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Amazing riverhouse!!

  • 5 of 5

This riverhouse is amazing! So spacious and Traci leaves such personal cozy touches, like fresh cut flowers, you feel right at home! The scenic view is gorgeous and the location is perfect providing plenty of privacy being right on a lake and yet it's very centrally located. Its About 15 minutes from the beach and Michigan Adventure. Beds were very comfortable and she even provides bath and beach towels. She is so accomdating and answers any questions you have. She has literally thought of everything! Definitely planning on going back!!
