Our seasonal beach cottage rests among the tall trees with a peaceful view for a deeply relaxing experience. There's a gentle breeze and fans to beat the summer heat and a stone fireplace and a small space heater for cool fall evenings. There are three private beaches at Point Of Woods. The white sand beach is a five minute walk away. We are located half way between New York City and Boston.

Greyrock has been in our family for several generations. We've created a comfortable, relaxing, modern space in our Cape Cod style beach cottage built in 1940. Before you arrive, the beds will be made and beach towels will be out. There are two hammocks in our shady yard, a picnic table, a large table and chairs in the backyard, and on the side porch is a gas grill with outdoor furniture for dining and lounging. The kitchen is well stocked and the beach gear is plentiful - chairs, umbrellas, floats, sunscreen, toys.
Point O' Woods is an ideal place for families. Two tennis courts, a modern playground, basketball court, pavilion, boat launch, scenic overlooks, wooded trails, organized beach blanket bingo and movies on the beach organized by the beach association twice a week. Point Of Woods has a large white sand beach with a boardwalk adjacent to a nature preserve with additional beaches. The ice-cream truck parks at the beach all day. Or take a 10 minute, safe walk, to "Scoops Ice Cream and Market."
We are only 20 minute drive to Amtrak station in Old Saybrook,Ct. Yale, Wesleyan,Trinity,Brown, Connecticut College, Salve Regina, Providence College are all 30 minutes to an hour away.
Greyrock has been in our family for more than 40 years. We enjoy the gentle waters of Long Island Sound, big white sandy beach and wooded walks to a shoreline nature preserve with sea glass and piping plovers.
Greyrock sits on the highest point of the beach, just right to catch the summer breeze. There is a stone fireplace and space heater for chillier fall nights. Our cottage rests on a large, rocky plot full of mature, shade trees. You can see Long Island Sound from the large kitchen window, living room couch, side deck, picnic table and two hammocks in the side yard.
Kendra's beach cottage was perfect for our short girls getaway! The location is awesome. We visited one of the local vineyards and then headed to Mystic to Red36 where we had dinner and drinks. The cottage itself is good condition and we loved how quiet it was at night. I especially loved the updates as well as the charm that they kept. It had everything we needed as well as thoughtful items not all homeowners tend to leave out for visitors. I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking to stay close to the beach with plenty of activities to do. Kendra was also very easy to work with, great with communication and super friendly! Thank you again!!
Cute cottage with enough remodeling to be cozy but plenty of old charm. Simple set up, great outdoor furniture and perfect location, location, location!
We had a wonderful time, the seaside neighborhood is beautiful! I love to go birding and there is a wildlife preserve nearby where we were able to see a variety of birds. There are also beautiful stretches of beach for those who enjoy beach combing and some nice trails too! We can't wait to go back!
Kendra's beautiful cottage in Old Lyme had everything we needed for our long weekend. My husband and I came out to the East coast to watch our daughter play soccer and instead of staying in a hotel we opted for a beach cottage....and we were so happy we did. Being that we were traveling from Southern California, we definitely didn't want to pack the bedding or towels that most places asked of us. The cottage was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. Our morning walks around the neighborhood and beaches (less than a 5 minute walk away) made me realize just how happy I was to being staying in a home and not a hotel. We drove to Mystic Seaport so I could check "Mystic Pizza" off my bucket list....so close that it's a definite must, as is Essex. Kendra was so easy to work with and replied to my emails within hours. I highly recommend this beautiful cottage in Point O' Woods when your travels take you to Connecticut. We definitely would love to stay there again.
