Overall the unit was updated and nice
The inside unit was very clean. However the hallways and surrounding area are very dirty. There was a jug of pee on the outside of the building that was there when we arrived and still when we left. They have a maintenance man why doesn’t he maintain the building? Another issue was we were given the wrong check in codes to get in the building. The property manager did reply quickly though. The biggest challenge was our parking spot. Every time we left the maintenance person would be in our spot. We had to locate him. That was very annoying! We had some issues but the property manager was very helpful. The inside was very nice and accommodating!
Awesome place close to everything
The property was amazing! Very clean, great boogie boards and chairs for the beach, right next to lots of food choices, and just steps away from an awesome beach!
Great location, awesome view from Patio
The place is located right next to the beach and the rooftop patio has an amazing 365 degree view. Very quick response time from the manager, would definitely stay here again.
Double booked and the unit was under repair
Worst experience ever - Do not Book this place
I have stayed at multiple VRBO rentals, I have never such a terrible experience. We paid in full our reservation in June, months in advance to our Sept 21st arrival. Communicating weeks in advance the week of, the day before, the morning of arrival with the manager Paige & owner Nicholas. The responses were slow, Paige would at times not respond and had to send Paige a follow up text message asking for her to please respond to my prior message. We arrived in San Diego early so we needed to know what was the earliest we could check in. I was told I had to call at 11pm the night before to know what time we could access the property, then she acted like she had no idea I was coming. I wanted to at least drop off our luggage instead of walking around the beach with our luggage as we did not rent a car due to planning to spend most of time at the beach. We ended up having to do just that, walk around hauling our luggage because Paige would not allow us to drop our luggage off. This is not the worst of it. We finally get checked in at 430pm . We figure all is well now, we were wrong! We got settled in left our luggage, got dressed for the beach, headed out. Upon returning from the beach we had planned to head up to the rooftop to play poker. We walked in to find people in our rental unit. I had left my phone behind when I saw my missed message it was Paige telling me to go back to the unit. She proceeded to inform me that she did not realize the unit had been double booked and we had to leave! I had booked in June, had three other friends from out of town who flew in for our annual trip we take. Now we were told we had no place to stay. Paige threatened to call the police if we did not leave. I asked her what she would do. She sent me links to other properties. So I booked one of them. We took an Uber there with my group only to find out that place was ALSO occupied by guests already. So I was charged for that property and that has taken me days to get them to refund that money. So I warn anyone to book somewhere else. They didn't care we were out on the street with no place. I texted that we were in an alley at night in San Diego with no place to stay, all the hotels were booked we called. We received no further response. We ended finding for the two nights in San Diego two different hotels, two very far away locations from each other, and only one room with two beds for four grown men.
When you booked- I called right away to work something out that would meet in your budget and made it clear that this property was not available and out of your budget. I didn't have the chance to block the calendar for the reservation we just accepted on a different website right before you. I explained this to you. I asked you to cancel.
6 months went by and when I received a text late at night from someone else, I assumed it was the husband for who we booked before you on our other service provider.
For the early luggage drop: we only allow that if the maids are almost finished or have finished. To be mad at me for that, we make it clear that check in is at 4pm- I had your friends calling me all day trying to get in early and I assumed it was with the party we were expecting. I kept telling you I will let you know when it's ready and I got multiple calls and texts from different numbers requesting the same thing as if my answer would change...
Once I realized it was you trying to get into the house and not the reservation we were expecting, I had to explain to you again why your reservation was not valid. You received a full refund from us and we had to take the hit on the account for canceling you when you refused to do so. Your friends were calm, respectful and really dissapointed so I was nice enough to let you guys hang out on the roof deck while I exhausted all search engines to help your party find somewhere else in your budget.
After finding 5 star luxury hotel rooms with ocean views with my bosses elite status and other 5 star amazing properties for you, your entire party was drunk after partying on our roofdeck. You were making threats to not leave, saying what I found wasn't good enough and you were yelling with out letting me help. Thats when I said I will have to call the cops if you can't control your temper or respect our request.
I finally said you need to figure it out. When you booked your new property, you made the same mistake by not reaching out to the owners first. Whoever you booked with didn't have the calendar synced properly, I'm not saying this is okay for you to go through that (I'm not sure why the website where you found the new spot said it was available when it wasn't) This property had nothing to do with me but you called me and made a bunch of threats as if I was the one that did this to you.
We loved the location of this townhome.. however I booked this trip for a vacation with my kids and grandkids.. the stairs were a little dangerous for my 20 month old granddaughter. There are nails exposed and I even scraped my foot twice.. the parking is the main problem. The one spot they gave us was so small we had trouble getting my car parked. The maintenance man for the condo told us to park our other car across the street and he said it wouldn’t be a problem. Well when we went out in the morning to go to Seaworld we found out our car had been towed.. by the time we went and got it (300.00) later we didn’t get to the park until 11:00 and they close at 5.. we went back to the condo and couldn’t find parking so instead of risking another tow, we just packed up and went home. It’s an awesome place if you have a small family that can fit in 1 small car!
-Steps to the beach
-A little over a mile to Seaworld
