About Melissa Leach
We are only the 5th owner of this beautiful home built in 1869. We operated our business and raised our family here for 20 years. With our family grown, we now live elsewhere but wanted to share the lovely character of the home with visitors and give a base for experiencing the local recreation, activities, and community.
Melissa Leach purchased this House in 1995
Why Melissa Leach chose Lyndon
This home has been lovingly cared for by each family that resided here. It been evaluated to the equal of a 12 year old home. The antique classic character of the foil wallpaper, wooden staircases, plaster ceiling medallions and moldings is meshed with comforts of modern living. It is spacious but cozy. It has hosted weddings and memorials, and countless spectacular holidays. The 11 foot ceilings make room for an enormous Christmas tree. The Carriage house was a playhouse, a wood working shop after is served its purpose as a barn for horses and carriage storage. The vintage garden plantings still flourish. It is a center for wonderful living in a region that is beautiful and unique.

Great place. Even better than the photos show.
Huge home. Clean and comfortable. Nice kitchen, great mud room to traverse from the snow, a garage to keep the car clean and warm, comfortable beds, etc. etc. All in it far exceeded my expectations. Be great for a group of friends or family enjoying nearby fun. Even someone passing by its super convenient to highway but when there you wouldn't know any type of road was nearby.
Very good staying
We liked our stay :) Melissa and her husband are very nice people. The house was clean and cozy. There was everything we need. Thanks a lot Melissa for hosting.
Large historic house with modern conveniences
This beautiful historic house is large with modern conveniences. The owner was responsive and helpful with questions and requests. It is well located to the highway, town and Burke Mountain. The pool table was a fun extra for our family. I would happily recommend this rental to others.
