A fully equipped kitchen stocked with extensive breakfast supplies, such as farm fresh eggs, organic juice, fruit, butter, half and half, homemade jam and bread, coffee, tea, fruit and goodies are in your cabin when you arrive. Eat breakfast on one of the decks or at the spectacular dining room. Snuggle in front of the fireplace in winter with hot chocolate. Cook dinner and eat in the privacy of your own cabin inside or out. Use the gas oven inside or the grill next to your cabin. Sit under ancient juniper and pinion pine looking out to extensive, lush gardens and the lake. You will soon be transported to another level of rejuvenation, creativity, relationship with children friends and loved ones or a special retreat for you alone.
If you must be connected to the outside world we do have WIFI in all of the cabins and phone reception is usually very good.
Computers run smoothly. If you want to escape to the working studio you can rent that lovely building separately for $100. per day to paint, or write. We also have residencies in the arts and natural sciences. Be sure to reserve that ahead with your reservation if it is of interest to you and if it is available at your time of booking.
Enjoy the canoes and fishing gear if you like to fish. The lake is full of large-mouth bass, rainbow trout, brown trout and blue-gills. There is no license required since it is a private lake. It is catch and release only. Also lovely is to canoe out on the lake and dream as you look down to the and dangle your fingers in the water.
Use the spectacular hot tub in your personal bathrobe and watch birds, double rainbows and shooting stars. Many of our guests come back during the meteor showers since the night sky is so clear anyplace on our property with no light pollution.
We can arrange a massage in your cabin if you request it. It is best to do so at the time of your booking.

We are a bird sanctuary and have had over 200 species of water birds, raptors songbirds identified at Willowtail. We sometimes release raptors or raise orphaned great horned owl babies under an agreement with the Division of Wildlife.
The land is very happy and healthy, an extremely diverse ecosystem, lightly managed by human hands as well as the natural wildness and abundance of nature. It exists as a preserve for flora and fauna of all varieties.
Lee can be hired to take guests on a one-two hour hike of the property, which is very popular with everyone.
Lee can also be available for private Tai Chi classes if that is something that interests you.

There are many through out the year and one of them might be available during your stay. You may also be able to see an artist at work if there is a current artist resident at Willowtail during your stay.

Weddings, Honeymoons, Elopements, Anniversaries:
Willowtail often conducts small weddings for its guests, either as an elopement or with up to 10 family members. We have someone onsite who can conduct ceremony or we can arrange a minister to officiate for you. We have done many of these celebrations in the years we have been open.
We conduct small celebrations and reunions, corporate retreats. The entire property, if all is reserved, will accommodate 14 people overnight.
We do not ask for a site fee unless an elopement or wedding has more than 12 people attending the ceremony. sometimes for a larger wedding, we host the bridal couple and immediate family so that they can take advantage of the exquisite grounds for photographs.
We will direct you to our choices for a officiate and photographs, flowers and cake or a reception of up to 14.
For a larger group or wedding, up to 25, there is an additional site fee.
