We live in a quiet neighbourhood in a conservation area with many local shops and amenities nearby and 3 minutes from the bus stop which takes 4 minutes to Turnpike Lane or Wood Green tube stations on the Piccadilly line. The journey to the centre of London would be about 20 minutes. The Piccadilly line is frequent and trains run about every 2/3 minutes. Bus 29 is a also a night bus running throughout the night from Trafalgar Square to Wood Green every 8 minutes. Wood Green Shopping City is a very popular area attracting people from far to shop. I live with my son who is 29 and we are often a host family to students from around the world. The single room is very spacious, bright and quiet and all the furniture is brand new, very large desk. There is access to wireless internet , kitchen access, central heating, hot water, parking facilities, washing machine, dryer, bedding, and the bathroom on the same floor is shared. We also have a beautiful Japanese Akita dog who is seven years old and has a very friendly protective nature and loves the company of our guests and a cat outside. There are three big parks warking distance and the nearest is Lordship Recreation Ground which is where joggers go each morning. An outside gym has just been erected in the park for quite a few people to use at one time. So if you intend to get fit this is the place to be and enjoy the company of other people.
Wood Green is multi-cultural shopping city is a very popular place to shop which shoppers come from far and has a variety of all the usual street stores and an indoor Mal and food market. Its also got very good transport links, there's the Piccadilly Line tube stations at both Turnpike Lane and Wood Green, and just about every bus in this area goes through Wood Green. There is the 29/N29 bus which operates all through the night every 6 minutes from Trafalgar Square and terminating at Wood Green where you can then get the 243 bus which is six stops to my house. This bus is only one an hour in the night.
