Mixed feelings
I have mixed feelings about staying here. The owners go through a 3rd party for communication, so it was difficult when we had any questions. The first thing was that less than an hour after we arrived a truck that was not apart of our party pulled into the private driveway and pulled in front of a 3 car shop that is 6 feet between the back of the house. The person in the truck was sitting in their truck for at least 10 minutes before my husband decided to go out there an ask who he was. Upon asking the guy who he was , he said that he has a boat he stores in the garage and rents a room in their. Since there was nothing about sharing the property with another renter in the description I called the only phone number that was given to me, which was a 3rd party. I waited on hold for a while before being directed to a call center. I asked them if they could get a hold of someone to find out who this guy was and if this was true about him renting a room in the shop. After 2 hours I got a call back from the "property manager" who told me that she has been trying to get a hold of the owner. She told me she would call me back, but never did our whole trip (we stayed 3 nights). Luckily the guy left the following day after staying in the shop behind the house all night. We had two nine years old girls who were uncomfortable staying in the house the 1st night because of him.
Also, the property says dog friendly, but if your dog doesn't get along with other dogs would not recommend staying here. As you walk out back to the side of the house towards the dog run and barbecue the neighbors 2 dogs come charging at the fence while barking very loudly. They would not stop barking until you went inside. On our last night one of the neighbors dogs barked most of the night.
The house was well taken care of and the beds were comfy. It was a great location for going to the dunes.
Thank you for staying with us and leaving your review. We apologize we were unable to give you a concrete answer during your stay. We have heard back from the owner who advised there is an occasional occupant in the apartment above the garage. We will add this information to the listing. We hope to see you again!
nice
It was a very comfortable house.
Conference at OIMB
With three bedrooms this was a very good place to stay a short drive to OIMB and the house was clean and comfortable. Food in the area is mediocre so be prepared for that, and leave time for cooking. They had plenty of games and such around and of course there are many sights to see in this area.
Great for family
Great family accommodations. Noisy, heatpump ran the whole time . We would stay there again
Spacious retreat
Lots of room inside and outside too. Had to add a pet at the last minute and did so easily thru the reservation site.
Nice doggy bed and bowl provided too. Large dining space and breakfast counter also by the kitchen. Two large living and lounging spaces. Outside is a ss sink for cleaning fish and seafood with a patio table and chairs. We had perfect weather and just wished we had more time.
The host was very responsive. Showed up exactly on time to fix a minor hiccup with the living room blinds. Fixed it in a minute.
Spacious inside and out
Loved the soft towels. The house is very roomy with a large dining area, a separate breakfast counter and two living areas with three bedrooms and two baths. Outside is a large lot. It was perfect area for our dog to run. (There's a lot of rabbit visitors from next door). It's set back from the road and quiet.
