About the home

“Blue Haven” is a lovely pet friendly home away from home in family-friendly Cape Woolamai. Some of the many features of this delightful home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

This single-story home offers a large, open plan living zone with ample dining space and a beautifully furnished lounge/TV area. You’ll not only be able to watch your favourite TV shows (with a 65" smart TV, Fetch Box with Foxtel channels) and DVDs, but also enjoy hours of fun with the Wii console. Here as well you will find an iPod docking station for your listening pleasure. A gleaming, fully-equipped kitchen finishes this space.

The master bedroom has its own TV and sparkling en-suite bathroom (shower, toilet and vanity unit). A further second bedroom and third bedroom (including full-sized cot with mattress) cater to the remainder of the family! The generous main bathroom, with a large spa-bath, and the laundry, with its washing machine and tumble dryer, round out the interior of this alluring holiday home.

Outdoor Areas

The immense, fully roofed rear deck includes a classy, eight-seater outdoor setting and the ubiquitous four-burner barbie! There is an enclosed yard for your four-legged guests too. There is also an outdoor hot and cold water shower.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, an Aldi pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric cook top and oven.

Heating/Cooling Systems

The home has wall mounted reverse cycle air-conditioning units in both the living room and master bedroom. In addition, there are three portable heaters and three portable fans for use where guests wish.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 4 beds, plus 1 cot, accommodating up to 7 guests:

Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: One Queen bed
Bedroom 3: One Tri-bunk and a cot

Please note: The Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

OK, but could easily be better
Blue Haven is conveniently located close to shops and restaurants in the peaceful area of Cape Woolamai. It is large enough for a family and had yard space for dogs which is secure when the front gates are closed. Recognising the huge challenges of the ongoing pandemic on the tourism industry, the following feedback is intended to just reflect our experience and observations as guests. We found the property to be poorly cleaned with most kitchen items needing washing before using. There are pictures missing from walls in most rooms (just sticky strips where they once were), blunt kitchen knives, ineffective pots and pans, completely odd assortment of cutlery and crockery and many items broken and left in piles in kitchen drawers, lights not working properly (randomly turning on and off or just not working), bbq was rusty etc. The yard is a little overgrown with weeds and is generally messy. All of these issues could be easily resolved and the accomodation would live up to its potential and price point. All in all, somewhat disappointing but it definitely has great potential.

Location was perfect! Halfway between local shops and ocean beach. Clean property with great amenities! Highly recommended for couples, groups and families. Dog friendliness is an absolute bonus!!!!

The property was easy to locate and access. The description said fully fenced and safe for dogs but the front gate does allow small dogs to 'escape' so do not rely on this if your dog is small. The house was clean with relatively comfortable seating and beds. There is construction next door so it was not quiet during the day.

Nice location.
Nice house had a good stay thank you. Nice open plan living. Access for boat and cars was great. Pets had a good stay in secure fenced yard. Free Wifi was a bonus.
