Large Executive Cottage Suitable For Large Families, Groups and Companies
About Jeanette Turvey
Hi there! I'm Jeanette and I manage Scottspoint Islandview with my partner (and owner) Bob. Although an American citizen, Bob moved to Huntsville for work in the early 90's and purchased our cottage in 1999. Bob continues to spend a lot of time traveling between Huntsville and the US, while I live just around the corner from our cottage and manage the many wonderful requests from people looking to book with us throughout the year. I grew up in Huntsville and moved back to my stomping grounds about 7 years ago. Huntsville happens to be one of those places that draws you back with a desire to raise your children here. I have two beautiful children who are very active in competitive sports and thus I am not always available to meet our guests when they arrive at different times throughout a week or weekend, but I try very hard to do so! Having grown up in Huntsville, I have lots of knowledge about the area and some of the fun things to do here, so please feel free to pick my brain!! I enjoy meeting and communicating with all of our guests and it's our goal to make sure your experience is as effortless, comfortable and relaxing as possible. We welcome any and all feedback because it's very important to us that we continue to ensure our guests leave feeling their experience was worth every ounce of their time and money spent enjoying quality time with their friends and family. Please feel free to contact us at any time with any questions you may have!!

What makes this Cottage unique
One of the wonderful things about our property is that it makes you feel as though you are in a remote area somewhere in Muskoka. The truth is however, that you are only a 10 minute walk into the heart of Huntsville where you can take an afternoon or evening stroll for dinner or a drink at the local pub. Our location on Fairy lake has quick access to the mouth of the river where you can take a quick boat ride into town or Vernon lake, or head the opposite way into Pen Lake or Lake of Bays. We are very central to everything.

Aging children getaway
Plenty of room, wonderful views, good reading selection, canoes! Great for our birthday celebrations.
This is a great cottage for a large family. We’re a family of 10 and found lots of space for everyone.
There was lots to do and It’s location is close enough to walk or canoe in to town
Amazing outdoor space
This cottage is wonderful. Owner was responsive and helpful, and we enjoyed the many outdoor spaces all around the property. Would definitely recommend!
This place is absolutely stunning... we really enjoyed our time here!
My friends and I rented this beautiful place for a bachelorette weekend away from the city. From the moment we got there to the moment we left, we just could not stop expressing how happy we were because of how comfortable this cottage made us feel. There was so much provided to us at the cottage that there was never a dull moment. The owner Jeanette was so helpful and quick to message back if we had any questions or concerns. We can not thank her enough! We left with so many great new memories and would love to come back someday!
Heavenly Huntsville Holiday!
Third time staying at this very well equipped cottage with spectacular lake views. Kitchen is very large and well equipped which makes cooking for any size group so easy. Hot tub and fire pit are enjoyable especially on cooler days or nights. Plenty of bedrooms. The cottage is very spacious and has so many places for guests to spread out in. You never, ever felt cramped inside.
Lots of things to do nearby. Huntsville is walkable, with an assortment of restaurants and shops also close by in a car. Great golfing. Boat cruise of Millionaire’s Row on Lake Muskoka from Bracebridge was enjoyable. Maple syrup tasting and much more.
The outdoor space, especially on the boat house deck, has such a gorgeous view of the serene lake. Perfect place to sit outside, relax and enjoy the incredible ambience. We love it there!
This is great place for the vacation!
The home is located in front of the lake and have a gorgeous view. Everybody in our group enjoyed staying. The only thing we missed that was boating. Because we couldn't access the storage room to get the life vest.
Overall, this is a great place for the vacation.
