About this property

Secluded location, private Beach Access, water views, sleeps 6

Your health and safety comes first to us! We are using products approved by the CDC to eradicate any lingering germs, bacteria, and viruses. We are taking extra precautions by ensuring all commonly touched surfaces are wiped down completely. The linens, towels, bed sheets, etc. are washed per manufacturers guidelines. We are also stocking our home with essential disinfectants and supplies to help you follow the CDC’s guidelines. We look forward to welcoming you to our property and hosting your stay.

The Sea Breeze is in a secluded location with a backdrop of towering evergreen trees where eagles nest, above the private beach where seals and seabirds are spotted as the waves crash ashore. It is less than two miles away from the paved Olympic Discovery Trail, the perfect trail for pedestrians, cyclists or equestrians. For more information on the delightful trail. The world famous Dungeness Spit, the longest spit in the world, is only minutes away by car or can be hiked to along the shore for those who enjoy hiking and beachcombing along the unpopulated, rugged beach. Be sure to plan your beach walks accordingly, however, as high tide can be treacherous if you are not prepared. (tide tables are listed in the local phone book).

You will share our private beach trail with our other guests at Hunters' Gate Homes. It is a gated, five minute hike with some large steps which are not easily navigated by small children or inexperienced hikers. Once down to the bottom you will be rewarded with a beautiful beach where the fresh creek water forms a lagoon that spills out into the salt water Strait of Juan de Fuca. You can walk and beach comb to the Dungeness Spit or head in a westerly direction toward Port Angeles.

The quaint little neighborhood store, Agnew Grocery & Feed, is only a five minute drive away, offering fresh local produce and a large selection of wine and other refreshments besides the basic grocery items. Sunny Farms Country Store is only ten minutes away where you'll find a larger variety of items including a deli and a fresh fish and meat market.

There are four restaurants all within a ten minute drive which are all highly recommended. If you want to venture further away, both Sequim and Port Angeles each only a twenty minute drive offer many more choices for shopping and dining.

The start of the road up to Hurricane Ridge and the Olympic National Park is a short twenty minute drive. You can plan longer day trips to the Pacific Ocean and the Hoh Rainforest and return after your adventure to our quiet, restful, tranquil treasure, the Sea Breeze.

Problems with the house
The house was clean but there were a lot of ants inside and one of the planks on the deck in front to the door damaged and very unsafe to step on. The owner didn't responded to the problems until that night although we contacted in the morning. She was nice though. The house was for 4 bedrooms but really was just 3 and the 4th was in a different building with only a futon sofa for without a place to use a toilet so had to go to the main house to use it. The area was beautiful and the beach area was long with a private gated place so we loved that. The cost was too money for what they gave to us.

Lovely
Beds were wonderful. Had everything we needed. Enjoyed the deer and eagle visiting. The path to the beach was nice but challenging for a 65 year old. We missed the otters, so sad. Loved all the pictures on the walls and seashells, etc.

Lovely home between Sequim and Port Angeles
We are a group of five women who have been hiking together for 25 years. This place was just perfect for us! It was clean and tidy, and in a perfect location. Note to prospective guests: if you plan on visiting Hurricane Ridge, our suggestion would be to take the shuttle from Port Angeles, $1 per person each way.

Lovely & Peaceful
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. It was decorated beautifully - in a pleasant and cozy way! We enjoyed the ocean view and the trails in the neighborhood. We mostly visited Olympic Park, and this home was a perfect place to rest and recuperate from days of hiking and sightseeing! If we are ever fortunate to return to the area, we will definitely stay at this lovely home.

Clean, comfortable and great location
The property is in a nice quiet neighborhood with a trail (somewhat steep) down to a beautiful beach. The house was well equipped and fresh smelling.

About the host

We feel very fortunate to be able to live in one of the most beautiful and unique spots on the North Olympic Peninsula and to be able to share it with travelers seeking to experience the beauty and wonders of this special area. We are located on several acres of land, partially farmland, partially woodland on the high bank waterfront bluff along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Our views are of the majestic Olympic mountain range to the south and of Vancouver Island, B.C. to the north. Having a wooded creek as our eastern boundary, we are able to provide the unique access pathway to the beach below. All of our several vacation rental homes enjoy the use of this same five minute hiking trail which is the most treasured feature of our properties. Wildlife abounds in this natural habitat where deer, eagles, river otter, seals and more are seen as an every day occurrence. We work daily at our other businesses where we sell home improvement products such as appliances, flooring, cabinets etc. We strive to have all of our vacation homes reflect our enthusiasm for inviting, quality interiors so that our guests feel truly welcome and at home while they stay in our homes.

Why they chose this property

We have lived on this acreage for many, many years and have gradually developed several vacation rentals on it over the past few years. We love this beautiful land and try to keep it looking it's best for everyone who comes to visit so that they will enjoy it as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

The Sea Breeze has sweeping waterfront views from the kitchen, living room, and dining room, and is close to the creek and to the trail that leads to the beach. It is so quiet and private and when the deer stroll past the porch and nibble on the fruit trees, it is like a storybook setting. When the exquisitely beautiful peacock comes by everyone gets out their cameras!
