Detached 3 Bedroom and 2 Bathrooms Air Conditioned Villa on Monte Pego with Wireless Internet& Pool
- english, french, german, spanish, italian
I live in Ireland (north-west) with my wife and 2 grown up children. My wife and I are retired and spend most of our holidays in our villa in Monte Pego which we just love to go to. we spend about 8 weeks of the year there and rent it out for the times we are not using it. We treat it like our own home and not like 'an investment property' which means it gets a lot of TLC!
Owner purchased this Villa in 2003
Why Owner chose Pego
We love the peace and quiet around the villa, the orange groves and paddy fields (yes rice!) which we overlook and best of all the sunsets. It is easy to get to - just over an hour from either Alicante or Valencia airports and has lots of restaurants nearby to suit every taste and pocket. The views from the terrace are breath-taking. The villa is elevated on the Monte Pego mountain so you can see for miles. There is a pair of binoculars at the villa and guest are welcome to use them!
What makes this Villa unique
Being on the side of a mountain most of the villas in Monte Pego you have to climb steps either to get into or out off. Our drive takes to up to ground level - no more steps apart from one step to get into the villa. Air-conditionong is a must. We extended the terrace by 35 sq.m for those who like to sunbath. Also our outdoor table is covered with a roof which is really appreciated when you want to get out of the mid-day heat but still able to eat outside.

Amazing location and villa
The villa was fantastic. So well equipped and with great views. The living space works so well with outside space and pool. Carl was so helpful ahead of our stay and very attentive in messages.
Only downside which he can't do anything about are the evening mosquitoes.
I'd suggest not attempting the driveway if in a small car.
Tim, thank you for your lovely feedback. Yea, mosquitoes are a problem everywhere in the evening. All you can do is protect yourself.
In 1st gear, from experience, even a small car should make it up the drive!
Beautiful Villa in a lovely quiet area with stunning views!
We enjoyed our stay at Casa Kalouda immensely. The villa was beautifully kept, very clean and tidy and very well equipped for families (high chair and cot provided) and the views from the villa are stunning.
The neighbours (Glenda and Steve) were very helpful and welcoming - thank you!
Would definitely recommend to anyone - although the mountain climb in the car is not for the faint hearted :-) (luckily we were already aware of this having stayed in the area previously)
One thing I would suggest (although far from a problem) is a gate from the pool area to the car port as our little boy kept trying to escape and run down the hill!!
Thank you very much for a lovely stay. Felt like home from home!
