Villa Tzina is by far one of the most charming Villas I stayed. From the beautiful manicured Garden, BBQ, Ping Pong table and pool made this feel like we were in a paradise. We were able to buy fresh fish and meat from the local supermarket. Everything we needed was in walking distance. Thank you Michaelis for making this a perfect Holiday.

The outdoor area was what really sold the Villa Tzina to us. It didnt disappoint. A lovely warm pool, beautiful floral garden, excellent BBQ, various furniture, shady areas and generally relaxing.
The shared Ping Pong and Pool Table was a great feature that we often used.
Tavronitis itself was nice. A little "rough around the edges" but quiet, with a small, quiet, stony beach with a couple of Tavernas serving it. That said, we would happily trade the peace and quiet for the busier but more beautiful beaches of Elafonisi etc (which are worth a visit).
The local amenities are really quiet good - the local butcher, baker, fishmonger and supermarket we used on a daily basis.
I would thoroughly recommend this villa to anyone considering the North West of Crete as it serves as a good base to visit the aforementioned beaches, and Chania (which is also most definitely worth checking out).

Very private and excellent villa close to the beach and tavernas. Perfect to discover the West of Crete.
Nice pool and we enjoyed BBQing in the evening; fresh meat, fish and groceries for sale at 10 minute walk.
Michaelis is very kind and helpfull.
We have had a great holiday!
Stunning villa, peaceful location.....all you may need within 5 mins walk.
We absolutely loved the Villa....fabulous pools inside and out! Very clean and comfortable...Stunning location....easy 5 mins walk to pebbly picturesque beach, tavernas and shops.....we had a car and used to have a look around.....but there is a bus that runs every half hour along the main rd to Chania....very cheap too.
Our Host was fantastic.....very friendly and helpful.
Villa Tzina, Tavronitis
We booked a 5 night stay at this villa at the end of our island hopping holiday. Agni Travel provided very good information before our visit and the directions and access to the property were very good. The outside of the villa was lovely - great pool in a little courtyard with a built-in BBQ and sunbeds etc, also an area to eat outside. Inside the property was disappointing - old chairs covered with what seemed like counterpanes, very old TV, kitchen that was difficult to use with old un-matching crockery, end of life pans, very hard beds, basic showers and a small amount of towels for a family. No beach towels or towels for the pool. We felt that a visit to Ikea would improve this villa enormously! Air con was good and there was a little inside pool, but we didn't really use this and I wouldn't say it was a key feature. Also, it's important to know that although Tavronitis was a handy little town, the beach (although close) was rocky with limited facilities (that we found) and we spent a couple of days visiting amazing beaches 30mins - 1 hour away.

Owners very friendly and always helpful. Villa rustic but charming set within an olive grove. Suitable for families with young children. We were able to walk to the shops beach tavernas quite easily and because of the temperatures July/August didn't use a car but took taxis when necessary. The swimming pool was excellent and we spent a lot of time in it and around it.
Tavronitis is a quiet undeveloped village facing a 3km of beach with several villas dotted along the beach front. The beach rarely becomes busy and there is always plenty of shade in the form of trees, that fringe the beach, or rental sun beds and umbrellas. On the beach you will also find some 'Kanteens ' that sell cold drinks, snack and light taverna meals. In the village there is a good selection of shops, traditional tavernas and super markets. Tavronitis is a perfect starting point for exploring the NW of Crete. The nearby town of Kissamos is just a short drive and there you will find numerous archaeological sites as well as trips to uninhabited islands off the coast of Crete. Maleme Is a historic coastal village which was involved in several battles during WW2. Today the scene is much more friendly with a sandy beach and welcoming turquoise waters. There are several tavernas, bars and mini-markets.
