Villa in Binibeca, Menorca, Balearic Islands - Just A Few Minutes From A Safe And Family-Friendly Sandy Beach

We have owned the Casita for 10 years and have enjoyed staying there both ourselves and with our family. The property is furnished as a family home and whilst it might not be as smart as a buy to rent holiday let property it is regularly updated. We have had guests coming back year after year because of its homely feel and affordable price (and its private pool!).
Owner purchased this Villa in 2009
Why Owner chose Binibequer Vell
We chose to have our “second home” in Binibeca because everything you could want is in walking distance. There are no clubs or discos or high-rise apartment blocks but there are welcoming local shops and cafes. We have never regretted our choice and have always wanted to share the property with our guests who can enjoy their holidays in this beautiful part of Menorca.

Lovely villa, superb pool
First time to Menorca and the island and the villa didn’t disappoint. Binibeca is a great area if you don’t want a resort feel and lots of tourists. Hire a car as driving is easy and you can see lots of the island in a week. The villa was perfect for a family of four and the pool and location are the real stars. We felt so at home and were sad to leave.
Thank you for your kind review. Binibeca is a special and lovely place for a holiday. We are glad you enjoyed your stay in the villa and look forward to you maybe returning in the future.
This is a lovely little villa that is very well equipped and has a lovely homely feel. Sadly it is in need of a bit of an update and could be made to feel much bigger if the rather large sideboard was removed and a smaller unit put in its place . Also all the kitchenware that is in the sideboard could easily be relocated to the kitchen as plenty of space in cupboards. Could do with new towels and mattresses or toppers, having said this it would not put me off staying again. The property was spotlessly clean which makes up for any other negative points ,also the pool is wonderful and love the location.. Thanks for a lovely holiday.
Thank you for your balanced review and your appreciation of the homely feel we try and achieve in the property. Having your own pool at an affordable price has been appreciated by 100% of our guests!
We are so glad you enjoyed your holiday and would like to come again. About 50% of our guests return for further holidays, some of them on a regular basis. thank you for your suggestions which have been noted - we always undertake renewals and refurbishments over the winter so it looks like we should check the towels and mattresses for this winter’s priorities. We have also thought about replacing the dresser but can have another look at this as an option...
Charming Villa sorry Outdated and tired property is more descriptive
On the plus side; location close to local restaurants and shops. Pool saw sun all day long and was very welcoming.
This property may be acceptable as the owners second home but falls well short of the expectations of a holiday villa rental.
Beds and mattresses were small hard and noisy, bed linen was sparse.
One hand towel and small bath towel per person which were threadbare and well used. No pool towels provided which should have been noted under the description in the advert.
Although fans were provided they were old, noisy and not able to maintain at least a somewhat comfortable temperature, especially during the hot summer months.
Garden and Barbeque access hampered by overgrowth
Thank you for your review, we always welcome suggestions on improvements and are glad you appreciated having your own pool - it is a a real benefit of the property. In common with many areas of Southern Europe there have been record temperatures recently and we will be reviewing our fan provision in the light of this summer's weather. We also do provide additional linen for guests if requested. We are sorry that we did not meet your expectations on this occasion although we do have a very high number of repeat bookings from guests who have liked the homely nature of the villa at a reasonable price.
Another lovely holiday in Menorca
This is the second time we have stayed at this villa and we love it. The location is great. There are 2 supermarkets that are less than a 5 minute walk and also restaurants and a souvenier shop. The village is so pretty with its white washed buildings. the bus stop is also less than a 5 minute walk.
The swimming pool at the villa is lovely and big, hard to beat, my daughters did not even want to go to the beach.
it is a very homely villa and I would definately like to go back again one day.
Thank you Andrew and Sarah for sharing your lovely holiday home.
Thank you for your lovely review - its always great when guests return and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay!

Margaret + Tony Burrett
Thank you for you kind review. It is lovely to have you back again!!
What a wonderful holiday
This was the first time my 2 children age 2(nearly 3) and age 7 had been abroad, so I really wanted it to be good and the villa did not disappoint. I also took along my Mum and Dad as their Christmas present (and to babysit). The pool was amazing, it was a lot bigger than I expected and my 7 year old did not want to get out. The villa was so homely and had everything in it. The location was great, the supermarket and restaurants were just round the corner. We did not hire a car, but probably would next time as the sandy beach was a bit far for the kids to walk in the heat, although we were happy by the pool and only went to the beach once. There was a little train that went to Punta Prima which was great fun. There was a lovely restaurant along the main road with had sea views (didn't get the name of it), but it was really nice. I love Binibeca, if you like quiet resorts, then this is perfect. I do not like going to the same place twice, but I would definately come back to this Villa.
The golden sandy beach at Binibeca is gently shelving, ideal for families with children - about 12 minutes walk away. Parasols and sun loungers are available for hire there. There are also secluded rocky coves nearby (nearest about 5 minutes walk away) where one can bathe off the rocks. Excellent for snorkeling.
Menorca airport is about 15 minutes drive away. Car hire is not essential, but to appreciate the island fully we would recommend it. You can hire a car at the airport or there is a hire company just 5 mins walk from the villa. There are also various car hire options based at the airport.
The property is situated in a residential area of Binibeca Vell. There are a number of bars, restaurants, shops and three small supermarkets in Binibeca Vell and Binibeca Nou, within 5 to 10 minutes walk away. The pretty town of San Lluis is just a 10 minutes drive and here you will find a variety of shops, banks, chemists and restaurants, along with some tourist attractions. Mahon, the historical capital city of Menorca, is within 20 minutes drive of the villa. There is a bus to San Lluis & Mahon
Visit the capital city of Mahon (Mao) and enjoy it's English style of architecture and spectacular harbour, with it's wonderful views, vast selection of restaurants and cafes, shops, boat trips and tourist sites. Menorca's second city, former capital Cuitadella, at the opposite end of the island, is also worth a visit to experience the contrasting Moorish architecture and historic atmosphere. Also within easy driving distance are numerous other coastal villages with beach and tourist attractions. There is a little road-train running between Binibeca and Punta Prima which is very popular with the children and really useful for trying out both beaches. If you want a change from the beach and seaside, Menorca is famous for it's many historical sites and museums which can lead you through it's history from pre-history times to the recent past. There are also many walks, and nature conservation areas linked into Menorca's status as a Biosphere Reserve.
