I live in England with my new husband and son. I love spending time in Spain as I feel so at home with its people and culture - a place in which to relax and unwind. The apartment is a wonderfully relaxing refuge - home from home. However, its location means that it is easy to discover other parts of Spain within a comfortable timeframe; e.g. the drive to Granada takes about three hours, as does the drive to Cordoba. Seville is approximately two hours away. There are lovely Spanish towns to visit, just a short drive away, such as Benahavis, Manilva, Casares, Cartama and Pizarra.

The property was purchased in 2004. In fact we had rented the apartment for several years from the previous owner and felt at home straightaway. Although Puerto Banus boasts beautiful beaches, wonderful restaurants and bars - not forgetting the nightlife - and has something to suit all ages, you don't have to travel very far inland or further along the coast to find unspoilt villages and incredible scenery. A visit to Ronda is not to be missed; nor is a trip into the hills to visit Competa. Puerto Banus is just 35 minutes from Malaga airport and Malaga itself is an interesting city. For art lovers there is the Picasso Museum;for those who like to hike and explore there is Antequerra, Three Dolmens, El Chorro Gorge and Bobastro and Torqal de Antequera, to name just a few areas of interest. Granada and Cordoba are an easy drive away with all the history and culture that those beautiful cities have to offer.

The apartment is in an enviable location. It is just a two- minute walk through beautifully maintained gardens to the beach; and the Port itself is less than a ten minute walk away. The property is in easy walking distance of the shops, bars and restaurants. However, although the apartment is so near to so much that is going on it is still a haven of tranquillity. For those with a car there is secure underground parking, with a lift up to the apartment. The development has two swimming pools. There is also 24-hour security. For golf lovers there are many and varied golf courses from which to choose, just a short drive away. San Pedro is a short drive away with its colourful Thursday morning market; and Marbella is a 15 minute drive, with its quaint squares and cobbled streets. It boasts wonderful shops and restaurants and a live flamenco bar.

Lovely apartment in an excellent location
We stayed at the apartment for three weeks over November/December. We wanted a quiet holiday so it was great to sit in the sun on one of the three balconies or wander down to the beach through the beautifully kept gardens of the apartments. Also you have the fabulous El Corte Ingles store a short walk away which is like having Oxford Street London all in one place. There is also an extensive food supermarket on the ground floor. We needed access to gluten free foods and found that they had an excellent selection for what we would term "Free From"
They have developed the walkways by the beach so now it is easy to walk in to Marbella.( it's a few miles !)
We would love to go again.

My friend and I have just returned from a 4 day break. This apartment exceeded our expectations and we knew it was going to be great from all the info we received before departure.
It’s on a fantastic location and very spacious. Very well equipped with everything you need and lovely and clean. It’s also very quiet at night.
The information we received before departure regarding check in/check out was fab and due to this our break was Without a problem.
We will definitely be returning!

I recently stayed with my 2 friends, the location could not have been any better. Having stayed in Puerto banus previously I knew what we were looking for and this apartment exceeded it. It was clean, very spacious and had everything and more. Communication with Sandie in the run up to our stay was also great. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit!

Brilliant situation; 2 minutes drive from motorway and 1 minute from the beach and 10 minutes stroll to the harbour area. Apartment spacious and very well equipped. comfortable beds, good showers, everything you need in the kitchen, plenty of towels. Parking under the building, lovely communal gardens and pools. Can't fault it---and I am hard to please!

My partner and I have stayed at Sandie’s apartment on more than one occasion. It’s very comfortable, clean and has everything you need to to have a very stress free holiday. The room sizes are very large, with 2 very generous sized double bedrooms and very comfy beds. Plenty of towels and clean sheets in the cupboards. We really enjoy the 3 balconies, which means whatever time of day you can generally find some sun, or shade, if that’s what you want.
The kitchen is very well equipped and very clean.
The complex itself is great, the ‘magic gate’ at the bottom of the garden opens at the steps down to the beach, couldn’t get much closer!
The Ocean Club is opposite, but we have never had any problems with noise and it closes early at around 7-8pm. The gardens in the complex are beautifully kept with a 24hr concierge to hand for any queries.
This won’t be our last visit to Sandies, in fact we have already booked to return in September, and we can’t wait! Thanks for another wonderful stay Sandie x

The beach and beach bars are just a few minutes' walk away. There are many beautiful beaches along the coast no more than a 15 minute drive away - from those that are quiet and off the beaten track to those providing entertainment and water sports. The beach accessed by Andalucia del Mar residents is a family beach and particularly safe for children; yet just a little further along is the Ocean Club for a more sophisticated beach experience.
Travel:
Malaga and Gibraltar airports are 40 minutes away by car. Car hire is recommended (there are so many places to explore) but not essential as local taxi fares are reasonable and the Port and Marina are an easy walk. There are local buses to Marbella, San Pedro et cetera.
Distances:
Marbella is a 10 minute drive and San Pedro 5 to 10 minutes away. The old and beautiful fortress town of Ronda is an hour's drive away. Gibraltar is a 40-minute drive with Algeciras less than an hour's drive away with its port and ferries to Tangiers and Ceuta. Cities such as Cordoba, Seville and Granada are a two-hour plus drive. Just a short drive away into the hills can be found the Malaga lake district, which is a haven of tranquility and stunning scenery.

Puerto Banus is famous for its smart Port and night life, but it also offers family entertainment, including water sports and safe beaches watched over and patrolled by lifeguards. There is an abundance of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. Puerto Banus is a shopper's paradise with many designer shops. There are several supermarkets close by, including the Hipercor within the department store El Corte Ingles. The regular Saturday morning market is held in and around the Bullring. Marbella is a short drive away with its quaint cobbled streets, Orange Square, marina and market place. San Pedro is worth a visit for its fish restaurants, pretty squares and Thursday morning market. El Torcal Park Nature Reserve is known for its unusual limestone rock formations and is located about 30 km north of Málaga city in the direction of Antequera. Ronda is a must to visit at any time of year and holds different festivals throughout the year; but the best known Ronda festival is the 'Feria Goyesca de Pedro Romero' which takes place during the first week of September every year when there is a procession of horse drawn carriages through the streets of Ronda with everyone dressed in 18th century Goyesque costumes. The town of Monda is a typical Spanish town with its white-washed houses clinging to the side of the hill and is only a 25-minute drive from Puerto Banus. For those who enjoy venturing up into the hills the delightful town of Competa is a wonderful day out; the drive is exhilarating and the views are wonderful. Malaga boasts the new Picasso museum, as well as being home to some breathtaking architecture. For those interested in water activities the Torremolinos and Mijas water parks are approx 20 mins' drive away.
