About The Old Exchange
Our family and friends have always loved coming to Mousehole and enjoy the beauty and charm of the village and Harbour. We enjoy walking and painting on the many lovely beaches nearby. It is a very friendly village with shops, art galleries, a pub, post office and several restaurants serving great food.
The Old Exchange purchased this Cottage in 2007
Why The Old Exchange chose Mousehole
Mousehole is a great place to de-stress and relax, walking round the pretty streets and enjoying the friendly atmosphere. We love the Sea Salts and Sail Festival held every two years and the Mousehole Lights at Christmas. When you stay at The Old Exchange there is no worry about parking, we have our own private space. The cottage is comfortable, modern and is very well-equipped in order for you to enjoy your holiday. Large garden with two patio areas with table and chairs to relax in.
What makes this Cottage unique
We can park in front of the property and unpack after a long journey (parking is rare in Mousehole). Sitting in the garden behind the house in the evening, watching the sun go down.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Cosy cottage a stones throw from quay
We had a lovely week at the Old Exchange. It is right in the heart of Mousehole a couple of streets back from the harbour. It takes about 45 seconds to walk to the front! A car parking space is a godsend too. The house is beautifully decorated and has a really homely feel. The kitchen is really well equipped - more like what you would have at home than a basic holiday rental set of equipment so if you like cooling everything is there. Mousehole is a great spot to stay - awesome views to St Michael’s Mount and close to lots of places a beaches. Highlights for us were Gwynver beach (dog friendly) and Geevor Tin mine - definitely well worth a visit. We’d definitely consider coming back again.
Great cottage in great location
Lovely property with the benefit of parking in a quaint village. Property was lovely with everything with needed along with high chair for little one. Would definitely recommend
Cosy Cornwall Roost
Well-equipped, comfortable and a quick stroll from the lovely harbour of Mousehole. Highly recommended. Plenty of on for four, and you can park two cars by the bungalow as long as one is not too big!
Mousehole is a great base for exploring Lands End, St. Ives and the Lizard. There are also a couple of good local pubs.
One of the Best
The Old Exchange was perfect for our needs for a short break with our two dogs. Inside it felt spacious and comfortable. The wi-fi and smart TV worked faultlessly. We were particularly pleased to find that the kitchen was so well equipped, and not just containing the bare minimum of utensils and pots and pans that is so often the case in holiday lets. The parking space for a car was, for us, essential and a rarity in Mousehole. The only point that could have been made clearer on the web site is the lack of a mobile phone signal, not just at the cottage but seemingly also for much of Mousehole - hence the provision of a landline for emergencies.
A gem of a hideaway
A lovely , well appointed cottage in the beautifu Cornish village of Mousehole. Spacious, but cosy, lovely comfortable beds & perfect enclosed garden for the dog & a bit of sunbathing.
We will definitely visit again
