We choose this property due its fantastic location, spaciousness, uninterrupted sea views and that it enjoys full day sun throughout the year. The apartment is close to all amenities including the village, restaurants, bars and the beach. Everything is within a 10 minute walk. The apartment benefits from a large terrace which is ideal for alfresco dining and is a perfect spot for watching the amazing Los Gigantes sunsets.

Really helpful and nice property
Apartment was clean and well presented with lovely views from the balcony. Hosts Anne and Steve were really helpful in booking as it was a last minute booking as were Mike and Sue who were waiting for us when we arrived. My only negative would be the number of steps in accessing the property but that is part of being in Los Gigantes, as most properties are build on the side of a cliff. I would definitely recommend booking with Anne and Steve again
Fantastic apartment with wonderful views.
We had a great 10 days at La Sauce. The apartment is beautifully maintained and perfectly clean. The view from the huge balcony is amazing and we spent quite a time relaxing there. We played tennis a few times and used the swimming pool which was almost like a private pool - we only saw two other people there. It takes about 5 minutes to walk down to the Tipsy Terrace where the tennis is situated and where they do great breakfasts, lunches and evening meals. It's a further 5-10 minutes to explore the town. Plenty of lovely restaurants and shops. Of course it's uphill on the way back which we managed fine but there are lots of cabs that will run you up the hill. Mike and Sue, the caretakers, picked us up from the airport and were exceedingly helpful and informative about the area. We would love to return one day.

This was maybe the fifth time we have stayed here and we keep coming back, so clearly it's one of our favourite places. The location is perfect at the top end of town, with the choice "do we stroll down to the marina or round to Puerto Santiago & Playa de la Arena?" The propery is as described, and clean & tidy, with a big comfy bed and a big sunny balcony with a choice of seating/lounging furniture. We eat in a lot and the kitchen & utensils are more than adequate. The private pool (shared by the dozen apartments in the block) is just 30 steps away and generally you have it to yourselves. Sun-beds are by the pool too. "Tipsy Terrace" is great if you're into tennis - watch the tennis from the balcony as you sit breakfasting on the terrace. A regular bus service provides pretty cheap fares and access to Alcala, San Juan and beyond. Hire car parking is available above or below the apartment. Coastal walking can be fun, especially if you link it up with a market day in Alcala (Monday) or San Juan (Wednesday). Try the newish coastal path linking El Varadero and Alcala. This time we found the coastal path from San Juan back to Alcala. All our dealings have been through Anne (Hallett, the owner with her husband Steve) and we can vouch for Anne replying quickly to emails and any queries. We would certainly recommend this apartment as a great place for two.

Spacious and well-equipped apartment
We had a lovely week in Sauce. It is a larger than average one-bedroom apartment with a lovely balcony with great views down over Los Gigantes. It got some good afternoon and evening sun even in late October/early November. The apartment is well- fitted and has everything that you could reasonably expect or require. There are fans in the living room and bedroom. The WiFi was being upgraded the week after our stay which should sort out any problems previously reported. There is access to a small pool (residents or tenants only) very near to the apartment.
The apartment is at the top of a hill with quite a few steps up to the entrance. It was no problem for us but it could be an issue for anyone with limited fitness or mobility.
We would very happily book this apartment again.
There is a good selection of nearby beaches. The volcanic black sand beach in Los Gigantes is a 10 minute walk from the apartment. Also within walking distance (15 minutes walk or 5 minutes by car) are the blue flag beaches of Puerto Santiago and Playa de la Arena. Playa San Juan has a white sandy beach with excellent beach bar facilities and is 10 minutes by car.
Tenerife South Airport (Reina Sofia) is a 45 minute drive. Car hire is available at the airport and in the village. Taxis are readily available at the airport and are approximately 60 Euros each way. There is also a taxi rank in the village.
The local towns of Playa San Juan and Alcala are within a 15 minute drive or short bus ride.
There is a lovely coastline walk to Puerto Santiago (approx 1 km) and Playa de la Arena (approx 3 km).
The apartment is within walking distance of all the restaurants, supermarkets, tennis courts and the marina. In Los Gigantes everything is accessible on foot.
Daily fishing and whale/dolphin watching trips leave the marina. There is an accredited diving school in the marina offering courses for beginners and more advanced divers. Walking is very popular and organised tours can be arranged via agents in Los Gigantes. Just a few minutes walk from the apartment are pay and play tennis courts with an excellent restaurant.
There is a great selection of restaurants and bars all within walking distance. The picturesque marina is an excellent spot to enjoy a glass of wine or beer late afternoon. Most of the bars offer evening entertainment.
