About Lee Miller
Our Family love this area & the beach etc. We have another cottage nearby just for our family & friends and we are often there.
Lee Miller purchased this House in 1999
Why Lee Miller chose Old Hunstanton
We love the area and the cottage is so near to the fantastic beach & yet within walking distance of restaurants etc. We can play golf, go birdwatching, walk, visit lots of places of interest or just laze about.
What makes this House unique
Golf course road is a private road and therefore very quiet but only approx 200 yards from the beach and yet within easy walking distance to restaurants, Inns etc.

great location, but no recycling offered
we have a great week, in a warm house in a great location. all the stuff you need is provided in the kitchen. local shop, pubs and beach in very close proximity.
But it had two downsides. One is easy to fix: instruction how to operate the key safe would be great to avoid play around in heavy rain unsheltered. Second big one: no recycling offered in any way, instruction say everything in one bin. there is a note that in an other town is a recycling centre (not mentioned there is a glass recycling in the village). It is just shocking that nowadays it has no recycling bin and everything goes in one bin. Maybe the council doesnt offer it in the region? or is the owner not supporting it?
Thanks for the feedback Michael. Glad you enjoyed your stay. We have constant battles with the local council about recycling. Because they see us as a ‘business’ we can only have the one bin, for everything. It is very frustrating. I will ensure that the information on local recycling points is updated and will clarify the key box instructions. Apologies that it wasn’t easy for you
Loved the cottage and we hope to return.
Amazing stay complimented by the “Costa” weather
We would have given five star but had a couple of niggles. On Arrival not all beds were made up (a simple error and no worry). Regretfully there were dust spiders in every corner in every room which was very alarming particularly to my wife who hates them. A quick run around with the hoover and all was well. The shower drain was a bit clogged, probably with sand,,, a small hose in the garden to rinse the sand off your legs and feet wood really help the problem. We put a bowl of water outside.
The house was very clean (apart from the spiders) the kitchen was well appointed with ample fridges and appliances, plenty of room for six people to eat in comfort.
The lounge was very comfortable..the the bedrooms were bright and airy and the beds had nice white linen and very comfortable.
Our stay was super and the weather amazing and with only a short walk to the beach made it even better.
Would I go back to Sandpiper?, without question yes!!! Just waiting for my holiday dates for next year.
Lovely cottage.in a fabulous location.
We had a brilliant weeks holiday here. Loved the house right next to the great beach at Old Hunstanton.
Lovely cottage close to a dog friendly beach
Great cottage near to Old Hunstanton beach which is dog friendly all year round. Located on a private road therefore very little traffic. The cottage is well equipped with comfortable outside seating which gets the sun most of the day. The pub close by has lovely views over the dunes and the sea. For chilly days the pub has a conservatory where dogs are allowed. Old Hunstanton is very quiet but Hunstanton is only a short distance away.
comfortable place with the beach just around the corner
Old Hunstanton is a lovely village
200 yards walk to beautiful sandy beach, lifeboat station, beach cafe, beach huts and sand dunes. Beach levels out very gently & leaves pools of water when tide is going out. Ideal for watching kite surfing & for bird watching. Can walk dog along miles of beach, fantastic early morning when there are usually lots of oyster catchers and other birds. Stroll to the Mariners (2 minutes) and have a drink or coffee on their decking & watch the fantasic sunset over the sea.
