About Alistair Adams
I am currently a self employed property maintenance professional working locally. I have an interest in sports cars and my wife has a pony called 'Titch' that she rides in the area.
Alistair Adams purchased this Cottage in 2010
Why Alistair Adams chose Inverness
My Wife and I moved to Scotland in 2010, after falling for the beauty of the Scottish Highlands. We were frequent visitors on holidays all the time and decided to make the move to this beautiful part of the world. Having purchased 'Willowcroft' we thought it would be great to offer other travelers the chance to stay in and enjoy all that the Highlands of Scotland have to offer. Having been frequent guests in self catering accommodation we like to think we have provided everything you will need to make your stay a good one.
What makes this Cottage unique
Willowcroft has a lot of benefits, being close to Inverness city but far enough away to be in a fantastic rural location. Transport links are also good with the airport, train station and road network providing great access. We are also close to the small but vibrant village of Beauly (4 Miles) with bars, shops, post office and filling station. If you are here to see wild life you have come to a great place. We have Roe deer, Pine Martens, Red squirrels, Owls, Buzzards, Red Kites and many more visitors to the croft although this is not guaranteed as all wildlife watchers will tell you. Woodland walks are on our doorstep, not the most challenging but somewhere to unwind for an evening stroll or a morning run if you prefer. Great views of the area can be taken with a walk to the top of the hill adjacent to the property.

Fantastic cottage in a great location
Came up to see the wild life of Scotland and saw everything we wanted. Sorry to be leaving.
great to get awawy from it all
Cute, tidy little cottage with an amazing loft bedroom. Skylights so you can see the stars at night. Opposite to Reelig Glen, so if you like the Scottish forests you will not be disappointed.
Very clean and tidy. Comfortable.
The owners were very helpful and friendly.
A washing machine would be a good addition to the property. (There is a laundry in Beauly however).
Having the bathroom downstairs from the bedroom via a spiral staircase was ok for us, but some people might find that tricky.
The fresh eggs were delicious, thank you.
The red squirrels are delightful.
All in all, a great cottage.
Thank you for your review. I'm afraid there is no space to physically put a washing machine in the apartment. The spiral staircase is clearly visible on the photo's of the apartment and we also point out that it is not very user friendly for disabled guests. We are pleased you got to enjoy the peace and quiet of our location with the abundance of wildlife to see. Alistair.
Ideal holiday home
We really enjoyed our stay here for 2 weeks. It was spotlessly clean, tranquil location and we loved seeing the squirrels and feeding the pet pig. Alistair and Julie were very friendly hosts. We would love to come back!
Beautiful Quiet Locaition
The best chilled out week we have had in a long time. The area is so quiet, loads of wildlife, loved seeing the red squirrel every morning. Accommodation was exceptional, loved the logged burner in the evenings. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Wonderful flat a few minutes from Inverness
Owners were very welcoming. Great little space to have for a few days. The surrounding country is beautiful and it's minutes from Inverness. Would very much stay again.
