Barn Outside Padstow, Cornwall, England - Secluded Yet Close To Everything. 7 Beaches Within 5 Miles
Jon and Viv Taylor are both surveyors who have developed barns in and around the area for some time. They also have two othe barns which have been running as a very successful holiday let business for the past 8 years with most bookings all year round by repeat bookers!
Why Rachel chose Saint Issey
We finished developing the barns last year with the intention of selling them all. We fell in love with number 2 and could not let it go. The others sold before we even completed the project which stands as testament to the fact it is a great location and they are beautiful barns.
What makes this Barn unique
The people in the hamlet are wonderfully friendly and I let my kids wander free to see the horses, dogs, pigs, lamas! Also Crealeys Adventure park within a minute but you would not know it was there.

Fabulous homely cottage, lovely area. Good base for trips in car but not handy if on foot. Slightly mislead by it being in 'St Issey'. Tredinnick actually more inland . This did not matter to us but might to others
Comfortable and spotless with a warm welcome and very fully equiped
Our stay coincided with a dramatic turn for the worse in the weather, 3 degrees C wet and windy. What a fabulous experience to open the front door of the cottage to be greeted by a very warm and inviting living room. The underfloor heating throughout the property was really effective in thawing us out at the end of each day and the Aga woodburner really topped off the evenings.
We were asked to bring our own bath towels, but absolutely everything else was provided, even down to dishwasher tablets in the cupboard.
The location of the cottage is great for exploring Cornwall with walks and attractions easily reached. We particularly enjoyed the Eden Project and St Michael's Mount.
The quiet and private setting of the property lends itself well to small children, with secure gardens and gates that can be closed from the lane, though this lane only ends in a field and footpath so there is no passing traffic anyway.
I would have no hesitation in returning here for my next Cornish holiday and have already recommended it to our family.
A special mention for the Ivy Tree in St Merryn, about 3 miles away. Really great food and service from a husband and wife team in a small establishment. Book early!
Beautiful house in a beautiful place.
We'll be raving about this place for ages. This house makes you feel happy. It's beautifully designed/fitted and everything has a look and feel of quality to it. For example the heated slate floor, or the AGA wood burner.
The location is perfect too. It's close to beaches and interesting towns, but also hidden away in beautiful rural Cornwall. I'm only in my 30s, but I'm already plotting how I can buy this place when I retire!
Lovely house good location to padstow and beaches
Lovely house in good location for padstow and wadebridge and lots of beaches. House has lots of space and kids loved the selection of board games. Cosy bedrooms and great having two bathrooms and downstairs toilet. Large hallway to store shoes, beach stuff and coats! Enjoyed lots of time body boarding - great beaches very close by!
7 beautiful Cornish beaches within 5 miles.
Tredinnick is a hamlet. St Issey is the closest Village and is a mile away. Best Curry in the SW just a 25 minutes beautiful country walk down the Saints Way.
Tescos deliver but the large Wadebridge store is a 10 mins drive. Great pub in St Issey with homemade pies and will sell local bacon ,milk and papers etc.... Fantastic selection of restaurants in Padstow. Horse riding in Trevone. Surf hire on all beaches.
