Great location, lovely cosy cottage. Parking was easy, shops and places to eat easy to find on foot. Well equipped kitchen. You'll really love it!. Only negative points are that the shower floor is somewhat disconcerting, it is springy! And there was only 1 half full toilet roll in the bathroom!
Convenient and Comfortable
The cottage is in the perfect location in central Rothbury, is very comfortable, roomy and spotless. The kitchen is well-appointed and and the bathroom really spacious. Highly recommended.
John, thank you very much for your very positive review Best wishes Peter
Comfortable stay in Rothbury, Northumberland
Comfortable, well equipped, good location, easy to find. Also very spacious. We had a very enjoyable week.
Absolutely lovely cottage with everything you could need, very comfortable and homely and a great base to explore from with so many places to visit nearby, on street parking but this was never an issue for us and very reasonable prices for school summer holidays! We had a phone call from the owner before our stay and he was very friendly and helpful, gave us some instructions and told us about what was in the village and recommended a few places to visit. Rothbury itself is a lovely town with local butchers and bakers which was very handy. it's so nice to see a town that still has the traditional shops rather than just chain stores. Lots of nice places to eat in the town and just 5 mins up the road is a nice pub called the 3 wheat heads which also does food but it's well worth going just to see the view from the beer garden it's a lovely place even if you just sit and relax with a drink, staff were very friendly and welcoming here too. definitely recommend a visit to Cragside it is absolutely beautiful plenty for the kids to do there too and a nice cafe on site. We also visited Alnwick Castle which was great and the gardens were lovely we did a couple of short guided tours which were good. Lots to do and see in this area would highly recommend it and to stay at the cottage!
