Barn in Old Hunstanton, North Norfolk, Norfolk, England - Secluded Location, 10 Minute Walk To Pubs And Shops, A 20 Minute Walk To The Beach
My husband and I live one hour away from Dairy Cottage with our three daughters, two dogs, one horse and six chickens!! Our business is based at home so it is lovely to come to the Norfolk Coast to get away from it all!!
Rachel purchased this Barn in 2014
Why Rachel chose Hunstanton
We think the Norfolk Coast is very special, and where our cottage is situated we are so close to the sea yet in the quiet seclusion of Hunstanton Hall parkland. We love walking our dogs on the wonderful beaches and bridleways and visiting the local pubs and restaurants. There are plenty of other activities such as golfing, bird watching, cycling and swimming or just chill on the beach!!
What makes this Barn unique
Dairy Cottage is in walking distance of a shop, pubs, restaurants and the beach. The remoteness of its situation means you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside yet be so close to all the amenities.

Delightful hidden location
Beautiful quiet surroundings and a lovely well-equipped cottage. Easy to walk to the village for supplies and delicious food at the Neptune. Convenient walk to Hunstanton, the beach and cliffs. Also we enjoyed visiting the attractions of Holkham Hall, St Marys at Houghton on the Hill, Oxburgh Hall, Castle Acre, Castle Rising and of course the local church of St Marys.
Claytons Family Holiday
We had a lovely stay at your fab property, very comfortable, cosy and very well equipped . Must mention the hot water is set very high and the control in the shower does not allow enough cold through to make it comfortable, could be an issue with children or seniors getting scalded. Not a complaint just making you aware.
A gorgeous cottage in an idyllic location, it lived up to all our expectations and more. It is so well equipped, beautifully decorated and the layout fitted our needs exactly. The owners were so helpful with queries too.
The hamlet is Miss Marple meets Joanna Trollope - old Hunstanton Hall, pretty cottages, a lovely, welcoming church and a duck pond. A pleasant walk to Old Hunstanton beach, and easy access to the vast N Norfolk beaches. We particularly enjoyed Holme and Brancaster beaches, the harbour at Wells, sunsets across the Wash at Hunstanton and a seal trip from Blakeney. Can't wait to go back!
A holiday for family and friends
I chose the property for its size and location as I wanted a comfortable house able to accommodate extended family where three generations could all find enjoyment. The house was perfect. It was relaxing, not precious, spacious and extremely well equipped for both adults and children.
We loved it
Charming property. We loved sitting in the peaceful walled garden, listening the splashing of the ducks and moorhens, and the call of the cuckoo.
The house has everything you could possibly want... and more.
So well equipped with attention paid to every detail. Such a lovely lovely location.
A wonderful cottage, extremely well equipped in a beautiful peaceful setting and location, yet only minutes from local facilities, restaurants and the North Norfolk Coast.
Everything needed for a great holiday!
