About Chloe Hibberd
My name is Chloe Hibberd and for the past ten years or so, I have developed a real passion for the Lake District and the surrounding Cumbrian countryside. So much so that two years ago I got married to my husband on the banks of Lake Ullswater. Having stayed at numerous other holiday cottages, I know what's really important when you are staying - and how important the little touches are! I really try and make sure guests have the best holiday - I have one guest who has just booked their fourth stay! I'm always happy to help if you have any queries whatsoever about the house, the area - or if you just simply want some ideas of things to do throughout your visit. Please do get in touch! :) Chloe x

Why Chloe Hibberd chose Coniston
We bought Puddleduck House in late November 2014. We couldn't believe our luck in finding something right in the heart of Coniston - walking distance to the lake, all the pubs and being situated right in the heart of the lakes. The property is really spacious and we have a lovely little garden with a patio area - where you can sit and look up at the mountains. It's just so lovely!
What makes this House unique
We love everything about Coniston - from the convenience of being in the centre of a bustling village, to the tranquility of the lake and mountains surrounding the village. We offer a spacious property (three double bedrooms) plus an en-suite, which is ideal for families - and yet we try and keep the rates competitive. We also allow pets (up to two well behaved dogs) and it's a fantastic area for all the family - or equally a couple who just appreciate having a bit of space around them.

Relaxing and walking holiday in the English Lakes
Good sized 3 bedroomed property for 6 people. Comfortable and kitchen well stocked. Great location within Coniston village and very short walk to 4 pubs! All with very good real ale. All pubs serve decent pub food.
If you like walking, there are great walks from the door. And lots more a short drive away.
Very good location to walk the Lakeland southern fells from Coniston and Langdale. The larger town of Ambleside is a short car (or bus) drive away.
Lovely cottage in a lovely lication
Very spacious comfortable cottage. Ideal for my grown up family and two small dogs. Very comfortable beds, excellent WiFi and smart tv so access to Netflix was good. Well stocked supply of games however we took our own. Well equipped kitchen had everything we needed.
Very large garage for safe parking.
Home as described in the advert. Clean and comfortable
Good supply of leaflets and information.
Next to tourist information centre and bus stop. Walked to Coniston lake very nearby with lovely Bluebird cafe.
Good pubs on the doorstop and cafe a. Lovely location to stay at.
Coniston Old Man fab for walkers.
Chloe is an amazing owner very helpful before our stay with information about the home and area. Very helpful during the stay with anything you need.
Also very helpful after our stay with posting onto us something we left behind that we were desperate for. Chloe posted out the very next day by special delivery
We had an amazing holiday in a lovely home and would not hesitate in returning,
Nice cottage and a home from home. Close to shops and local walks.
My family had a lovely holiday and nice weather. The experience was spoilt by the next door neighbour having a go at us for parking in the alley on the side of the terrace houses. We didn't block any garage or any access to any property. It was quite nasty and that made us quite uncomfortable afterwards.
Lovely holiday cottage
Easy walk to village , the Bull, the Kings Head and The Ship Inn was great for service and food .
Lovely peaceful cottage
Perfect for a week away with our grown up children and a dog.
Everything we needed in a well equipped cottage in the centre of Coniston. A good base for an active holiday with lots of space for canoe and adventure activities kit. We had 2 cars . Kept one in the garage and always found parking space for the land rover nearby. The little garden was a fabulous suntrap with lovely views.
Nicely positioned in a beautiful area, house very comfortable and in a quiet area.
The nearest airport is either Preston or Carlisle. The nearest station is probably Windermere, although Barrow in Furness is also within reach. Car hire from Oxenholme or Windermere.
Central Lakes Village Location - 2 min Walk into Village and on to Coniston Water.
Coniston has a bank, several convenience stores, gift shops, independent shops, five pubs, cafes - plus much more!
Puddleduck House is a holiday you'll never forget. Step out of the front door and have everything at your fingertips .... A hearty lung-stretching hike up Coniston Old Man, a peaceful meander around Coniston Water, a stroll into the village with a choice of five pubs, lots of cafes and well stocked convenience stores for all you need to stock up for your stay. Plus there is so much more to offer ...
In the very heart of the Lake District, you simply do not need to venture outside of Coniston to have a truly delightful and memorable holiday. However, other parts of the Lakes are within very easy reach - Ambleside, Hawkshead, The Langdales - they are all within a short, breath-taking drive.
