About this property

Villa near the sea with wonderful wiew of Aeolian Islands

This fine villa is located in the northern part of Sicily. Precisely in one of the most enchanting and suggestive part of the region, where sandy beaches meet imposing cliffs which skillfully wind along the coast, as only nature could do, eventually diving into the clear waters of the Thyrrenian Sea. The building is made unique by the surrounding natural scenario, which provides an almost idyllic atmosphere. Being situated very close to the beach (only 50 mt), it allows, from its terrace, a breathtaking view of the crystalline sea and of the Aeolian Islands archipelago. The house, plunged in a wide garden (about 5000 sq. mt) amid olive and eucalyptus trees, offers large spaces in the shade where to spend pleasant moments in the utmost quietness, enjoying at the same time the surrounding suggestive scenery. From the large garden one can have direct access to the shiny sandy beach, lightly touched by the warm and clear waters of the sea. An ideal frame to this oasis of peace and rare beauty are the mountains belonging to the Parco Naturale Dei Nebrodi, covered by a thick Mediterranean vegetation. In the evening, on the terrace, possibly dining by candlelight, one can feel a unique sensation: the sea breeze from a side, and the rumbling of the waves from the other. Not far, and therefore reachable with a short walk, there is the lively small town of San Giorgio of Gioiosa Marea, in the past a fishermen's village. Here you will find several bars, pizza parlors and restaurants where you can taste the typical specialties of the island. Summary of accommodation: this elegant villa is located on the North East Coast of Sicily and boasts a fantastic sea view with the Aeolian Islands as a backdrop. In The villa there is a large lounge, 3 bedrooms, a kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Accommodation details: a driveway leads through the garden to the villa itself and the parking area. The villa is provided, besides, with fine and extremely tasteful antique furniture, which make the atmosphere particularly warm and comfortable. Inside, the property is divided into two semidetached houses with separate entrances: Villa: the main entrance leads directly into a large lounge which has been separated into two areas. The first area has been furnished with two armchairs, two sofas, a chest of drawers and has been equipped with satellite television. The second area has been furnished with a dining table and chairs. Large patio doors lead out to the terrace which overlooks the sea. The ground floor bathroom has been fitted with a shower, sink, bidet and a toilet. A door from the dining area leads to the kitchen which has been fitted with various floor and wall storage units, a marble work top, an oven and hob, fridge/freezer, a double sink unit, extractor fan, microwave and a kettle. A kitchen window provides views of the garden. A staircase from the lounge leads up to the first floor where the bedrooms and a second bathroom are located. Bedroom one - has been furnished with two single beds, a chest of drawers and a bedside unit. Glass doors leads out to a balcony which overlooks the sea. Bedroom two - has been furnished with a double bed, a wardrobe, bedside unit and a wicker sofa. A glass door leads out onto the balcony (shared with the first bedroom). Bedroom three - has been furnished with a double bed, bedside tables, a small wardrobe and a large chest of drawers. The bedroom window overlooks the rear garden. All three bedrooms have a slightly sloping roof. The bathroom on this floor has been fitted with a shower, sink, bidet and toilet. Outside area: a large terrace runs across the back of the property to which both the main villa and the annex have access. The entire terrace offers stunning views of the sea including the Aeolian Islands and has been furnished with a table and chairs, sun-loungers and also offers a barbeque. The rest of the garden has several lawn areas and otherwise has been planted with mature trees and palms. Just 50 metres from the property there is a long stretch of sandy beach.

The Messina / San Giorgio di Gioiosa Marea area

The villa has a wonderful position, overlooking both the Tyrrhenian Sea and a beach on the North East Coast of Sicily. The property is located on the outskirts of San Giorgio di Gioiosa Marea, a village within the Province of Messina and within 15 km from the coastal resort of Capo d’Orlando. A large stretch of sandy beach is located next to the property, whilst there are a number of shops, supermarkets and restaurants approximately 600m away.
Day trips to the Aeolian Islands are easily undertaken using the fast hydrofoil service that departs from the port town of Milazzo. Also within close proximity of the villa are the town of Tindari, which offers a Greek theatre and 18th century cathedral, the Roman Villas at Patti and Terme Vigliatore and the nature reserve and lakes of Marinello. The popular beach resort of Cefalu’ and Taormina are both within easy driving distance.

The Sicily region

The particularity of Sicilia is the numerous interests it presents. Indeed, this mysterious and entrancing island, does not simply offer sea, sun and art, but absolutely everything, in abundance, to fulfill all the expectations of the tourist.
Counseling a season in Sicilia has no sense, because the climate is uniquely mild even during the periods, in other places, the cold winter reigns. It is not a surprise that Homer called it « The Island of the Sun ». The Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans and Arabs have scattered numerous and fantastic treasures of art whose diversity and richness are unique.
« Without seeing Sicilia, one cannot get a good picture of what Italy is. It is in Sicilia that the key of everything can be found. » (Goethe 1787).
