Both property and host were above expectations, would definitely recommend to friend and family.
Will be back.
Especially for the bread 😊
What an absolute fabulous location and holiday rental. Mandy is so welcoming and really had thought of everything, from provisions of milk, bread, eggs, juice, coffee, tea etc. As for the dog, she was thoroughly spoilt.
The location is stunning, and idyllic. Lots of birds and other wildlife to be seen. Loved being able to see the Alpacas in close proximity. Beautiful enclosed garden, didn’t use the hot tub but it looked fab.
We went to Poppit sands which I recommend so dog friendly and Miles of beach for a good old run around.
Would certainly recommend and hopefully we will stay there again soon
The location is absolutely beautiful, our host Mandy was very friendly and made us feel very welcome!
The homemade bread and fresh chicken eggs were a lovely touch and made a tasty breakfast.
Me and my partner did the Willoughby alpaca package and it was such an amazing experience!! Mandy made us feel very comfortable with the alpacas and the views on the route are breathtaking!
We then had the opportunity to feed and cuddle the alpacas which was brilliant, they are such friendly animals.
This experience was then rounded off with a delicious cream tea, which was presented beautifully by Mandy!
I would definitely recommend staying at the woodlands and the alpaca trek is an absolute must!!!
A Taste Of Paradise
Tranquil and picturesque location, a little piece of paradise away from the world's cares. We booked the lovely JEMIMA and the BRECON SUITE for our stay, both were very clean, comfortable and beautifully appointed (Mandy really does seem to have thought about everything to provide for an enjoyable stay)It was so good to stay somewhere where my little dogs were really welcome (with their own welcome pack too!) Loved the hot tub and the movie room, made use of the washing machine (after a slight accident) which was very useful, but best of all was just sitting in the garden taking in the views and marvelling at the peace and quiet!
Not at all familiar with the surrounding area, we enjoyed a visit to Aberaeron, had tapas on the terrace of The Cellar and the craft shop in the tourist information centre at the harbour was most interesting as it displays the work of several local craftspeople, there were plenty of places to sit and take in the views and there were lots of four-legged friends visiting with their humans - a very dog friendly and clean part of Britain I'd say. Sadly our visit to see the Red Kites feeding was a disappointment, but only because the birds had more sense than to venture out on such a soggy day, the cafe at Bwlch Nant Yr Arian was very dog friendly and allowed well behaved dogs to sit inside, and there were screens to watch the (absent) Kites (had they graced us with their presence)
We also had a bracing walk along the front at Aberystwyth and a lovely meal inside the Olive Tree (yet another dog-friendly eating place).
There seems plenty more to see and do in the area (and we still have the Red Kites to see) and we'd have no hesitation in booking Woodlands again for our stay. There was just one problem .........
we really didn't want to leave!
Its was amazing.. so quiet and tranquil. Mandy was so welcoming and gave great advise about local walkways. The people in the neighbour hood are very friendly,we loved the pub three horse shoes. We will definitely be looking to stay again with mandy. Thank you for a spectacular weekend break ;)
Peaceful location and perfect for a dog friendly break away
