Lovely property with every amenity
As we were bringing a dog with us, it would have been helpful to know beforehand that the back yard was shared & largely given over to a children's play area.
Although there is little the owners can do to remedy the situation, the noisy upstairs neighbours detracted from the peace, especially in the evenings.
Despite these two minor niggles, we had a great time, the property is beautifully decorated with all the amenities we could hope for. The availability of a lovely bath for long, hot soaks after a day's walking was particularly welcome & an unexpected bonus.
Had everything we needed, but it was a pity our dog could not go out into the back yard - shared use
Excellent communication with owner, easy to find, everything we needed for a short stay
Nice property in a good location
A nice property for two. The pallet wood didn't offend us! Nicely refurbished.
Just a short walk to the harbour area and a small beach.
A few pubs and some very nice restaurants also within walking distance.
The Co-op opposite was very handy.
Very well located for trips around Northumberland. Holy Island was a favourite as was Cragside and the Farne Islands.
Perfect property and location for a seaside break for two.
Great base to explore coast
Lovely to be close to beach, shops, harbor - just a few minutes walk. Comfortable accommodation and great refuge when weather not so good! We had a peaceful break from city life and came back renewed by Northumberlands scenery and friendliness
Not up to scratch
Although this property is in a good location we had issues!! Bed room no wardrobe just a branch from a tree fastened under some boxed in pipes (pallet wood used for boxing in) Just one small set of draws and a pine dressing table which really no practical use other than two tiny draws.we had issues with the front door sticking and locking (it was rectified to some degree buy the owner. The kitchen dinning area had no storage cupboard space for food and the boxed in central heating cupboard pallet wood .Bath room ok only single overhead shower unit which you cannot get out of the way of when showering, nice bath!! Having used these types of properties before this could have been much better for what we payed ,the quality of finish in the cottage was of a poor standard the use of pallet wood is cheap and nasty the general finish of doors and flooring could been done to a better standard .there was no owners pack to the property about use of its equipment over all I do not rate this holiday property very highly it was over priced for what is was.
We were sad to hear you did not have a great stay at seawillow and did not find the some of hand crafted decor of the house to your taste . We worked very hard to create a comfortable and personable space for our guests and receive many compliments on these . All designed for the feel of the cottage and to make most use of the space available from the sewing machine table , handmade seaside cushions, driftwood ships, pallet table and boxing in for boiler and meter in bedroom using reclaimed wood from a 200 year old Northumberland church. Am sorry to hear you were unable to not stand under the shower while in the shower . We appreciate feedback and vegetable rack has been placed in the kitchen to add to current storage and and a new easier to find guest info . We will continue to try and improve the experience for all future guests ,
