About Victoria & Jake Ward
We're an eco-friendly family working on the renovation of two buildings. It's quite a project but we're working hard on it. We love travel (when we can get away!).

Why Victoria & Jake Ward chose East Anstey
This is a great rural location within easy reach of the M5 and on the edge of Exmoor, with beaches within 40 - 50 minutes and plenty to see & do. We're offering 30% off prices as this is our first year of renting and we have further renovations & refurbishment to complete, snap up a bargain while you can!
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Perfect for large families.
Alder Cottage was a great place for our family holiday, there were eleven of us in total and we all had plenty of space. The bedrooms and seating were comfortable. It was great to have a large dining table to be able to all eat together. Victoria and Jake were great, checking we had everything we needed and getting a couple of extra dining chairs for us. The kids loved the games room and spent a lot of time in there playing as there was plenty to keep them entertained. It was a very peaceful holiday in a beautiful and quiet part of Devon.
Great location, facilities very good.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was ideal for a big family holiday. Plenty of space for us all. The games room was especially welcome for the children, leaving the main room for adults! Plenty of games and books to read if needed. Very pet friendly.
The village is situated just under 20 minutes off the M5 (junction 27) and we are a few minutes' drive from Exmoor and about 40 minutes from the nearest beach so very well situated for country getaways. The nearest shop is 5 miles (about 15 minutes' drive) away, open 6am - 11pm. There is a great tapas bar, Wild Woods Tapas Bar, about a mile down the road (open for bookings of 10+) and several nearby local country pubs that we can recommend. The village itself is very quiet, there are just 15 houses here, and the village is accessed via a private driveway so it's self-contained.
