Why Alysa Finley, Property Manager chose Cascade
I purchased this property because of its historical significance. I like older homes and the 'big house" (behind which is the cottage) was the first home built in Cascade . Cascade itself was a resort community in the late 1800's, populated mostly by people from Kansas who bought second homes to escape the summer heat and is now populated by those of us who like the rural feel yet easy access to the city. Those of us who live here feel this is a special place.
What makes this Cottage unique
Quiet, cool, peaceful, rural setting by the creek with old growth trees, beautiful gardens, and access to the trails.

My husband an I loved the cabin. It was perfect for the two of us. It was not as private as we hoped
Overall we had an amazing time. The cabin is in a perfect location. Close enough to everything we wanted to do. My only disappointment was how close the neighbors are. We were hoping for more privacy since it was our honeymoon trip. Other than that we loved the cabin and the cleaning lady was super nice.
getaway for 2
We had an amazing stay at the cottage. It was just as described and more. It was the perfect space for us and near all the great hiking and sights that we enjoyed. We were so glad we chose this space to feel closer to nature. Hope to return soon!
Lovely little cottage by the brooke!!!
The cottage is nice, we especially loved the views, and the running brooke right next to the house. It's a great location for everything to do, and amazing weather in the mountains. And the hot tub big plus after all the hiking!! The owners were great, had a bumpy start but they smoothed it out very quickly! I would definitely rent here again!!
My sister and I stayed in this quaint little cottage with the intent of relaxing and shopping. There is only one bed, but we knew that when we went. Booking was fantastic, though we had a few glitches at first that all got worked out. The cabin was wonderful, clean, and well kept. The owner was cordial and the locals were wonderful about telling us where to acquire food stuffs, and great memories. Sitting on the front porch in the mornings was one of the brightest highlights of the trip. The stream nearby was mesmerizing and calming. Over-all I would return and will recommend to any in need of a quite get-away. Thanks for a great experience!!!
Just perfect! This cottage is the perfect getaway, and it's close enough to see anything you want to see, but private enough to sit on the porch and listen to the beautiful creek that is directly below the cottage. Very romantic place. Owner/Property Manager are super and will try to accomodate any situation. We will be back soon!
Absolutely beautiful. Right off the road up to pikes peak. Walking distance to numerous trails and the winery down the street had great food
Cascade is a small mountain community in the foothills of Pikes Peak yet close to the city of Colorado Springs and Woodland Park with all the activities that cities provide. The property listed, in Cascade, is a quiet, peaceful retreat, in the mountains, next to a creek, in an historic district.
There are several trails with access outside the front door and many others within a 15 minute drive.
