We live on a family farm half a mile away from Letter Box Cottage and the farm has been in the family since 1919 so as you can imagine we know quite alot about the area by now! Letter Box Cottage was bought for when we hang up our wellies but that has not happened yet ..... so enjoy it as we both do.
Julia purchased this Cottage in 1999
Why Julia chose Ebrington
When I saw the cottage was for sale I just fell in love with it. The thatched roof with the door in the middle and windows either side just looked as if a child would draw this type of house. The Victorian letter box that is inset into the wall gave it its name. It needed very sympathetic renovation and has retained all the original features whilst having all the creature comforts.
What makes this Cottage unique
Charming cottage garden, beams in most rooms, open fire and quirky fire seat and large inglenook.

Quintessential Cotswolds Cottage
Letter box Cottage is charming,
We loved our long weekend in this gorgeous cosy cottage, it’s been refurbished beautifully and was in a lovely location.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it , and will definitely be staying again in the future.
Thank you. Glad you all enjoyed your weekend.
Cosy retreat from a busy life!
Met our expectations for a nice cosy weekend away with real log fire. Would definitely stay here again. There isn't much within walking distance but it's a great location and near plenty of pretty villages as well as Stratford-upon-avon by car. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Thanks to the owner!
our short break
The property is full of character with the luxury of central heating. Had a great time.
A perfect place for touring the Cotswold regions or just staying home.
Wonderful, full of period charm.
Wonderful and full of period charm
Charming cottage stay
The cottage is set in a lovely wee hamlet at Hidcote Boyce. It is perfectly situated for beautiful Cotswolds Way circular walks and near beautiful villages. The cottage has everything you need and was so useful for being able to use a washing machine if you are travelling around the country. Peaceful and very pleasant stay and the hosts Julia and Ian are very welcoming and obliging.
Amazing property and property owner!
This cottage was absolutely impeccably maintained and so welcoming and charming! It was a true taste of the beauty of the Cotswalds! The owner Julia was very sweet and attentive to details! We were welcomed into the house by a beautiful tray of tea and biscuits. When we accidentally locked ourselves out (lesson learned - don't pull the door closed if you don't have the key on you!), she showed up promptly to let us back in! We definitely want to stay at the cottage again in the future! Highly recommend!
Hidcote Boyce is a hamlet 3 miles from Chipping Campden known as the 'prettiest High Street in the Cotswolds'. Bourton-on-the-Water, Burford, Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon are a short drive away. Warwick Castle, Burford Wildlife Park and Adam Henson's Cotswold Farm Park are great days out for children. Sudeley Castle in Winchcombe and nearby Hales Abbey are recommended. Blenheim Palace in Woodstock and Woodstock itself makes for an interesting day out. This area is famous for the Arts and Crafts movement as well as delightful gardens. Each year in June Skuttlebrook Wake is held in Chipping Campden and there are also various farmers markets and events throughout the year.
