Perfect home for a group of friends

The house had everything we needed for a weeklong stay for 9 people. Plenty of places around the property for outdoor gathering, well-equipped kitchen. The 2 refrigerators and dishwashers were helpful. We had Chef Ronald cook one night - best meal we had in France. It’s hard to tell from the listing it there are 4 bedrooms on the main floor, each with their own bath. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, one bath, and 1/2 bath that has a shower and sink, but no toilet. We loved our time here - it’s hard to leave.

Luberon paradise

Our group of 9 seniors loved the property. The villa is beautifully appointed, with cooking and dining facilities in abundance. The property is spacious, with a variety of places to relax, and a lovely outside dining area. There are also a variety of games and activities available onsite. The neighbouorhood is quiet and has miltiple walking trails in the local neighbourhood. The villa is a pleasant walk from the village of Bonnieux, with a good butcher, boulangerie and small. mini market with excellent fresh fruits and vegetables for meal supplies. A nearby wine cooperative and the market days at the surrounding villages made for a wonderful holiday experience.

A Wonderful Place For Coming Together With Family

The Bastide de Bonnieux is an absolutely wonderful place to stay with a large group or family. From the beginning, the communication with Karine and Jessy (her property manager) was great. She was really responsive to questions we had, and shared a very informative handbook with us that had so many suggestions for things to do in the area. You can tell that Karine pays attention to the details, and this is what makes Bastide de Bonnieux such a lovely place to stay. The property is such an amazing place for family to come together and play. There are so many opportunities to do things on the property itself, that it can be hard to balance getting out and seeing the area with relaxing and having fun at the bastide itself. It’s a community building and family-oriented property that brings people together in conversation and play. There are so many different places to hang out and move to in the property that you never feel bored or like you’ve been sitting and looking at the same thing for too long. There is a ping-pong table situated right between the outdoor eating area and outdoor couch area that became a fun way for people to come together and play. There is a shed which has 7 bicycles that you can use to bike around the country roads (or bike into town if you are fit enough to bike back uphill). There is a badminton or volleyball net, a basketball hoop, a petanque court, a huge chess board, a small soccer pitch for kids, etc. It’s a 15-17 minute walk into the central ‘plaza’ of Bonnieux, or a 5 minute drive. You can bike down to the village, but biking back up is a bit harder on the legs and you’ll have to be fairly fit to not walk for parts of it. There is a great little store in town that sells great produce and a few staple items. There is also a nice little bakery for bread and croissants. Overall, the Bastide de Bonnieux is a gem of a place! We loved our time there and made so many great memories together as a family. The house has everything: plenty of indoor space, bedrooms that offered privacy, multiple outdoor hang-out spaces, plenty of games and recreation resources to keep everyone entertained and laughing. We highly recommend it and cannot speak highly enough about Karine, Jessy and the level of detail that goes into making a place so intentionally catered to visitors. There are not many places like it.

Wonderful group vacation house

I was lucky enough to have the house for 2 weeks with family and friends coming and going as schedules permitted. This was the perfect set up for us. Plenty of room when everyone was in the shared spaces, but the bedrooms are virtually sound proofed if someone went for a nap. The town and the house are very remote so a car is a must, nervous drivers may have some anxiety on the narrow winding roads. We had Sidonie make several meals so we could pop them in the oven or reheat whenever we wanted, each was wonderful. We also had Chef Ronald prepare a five course meal with wine for 10, this was an exquisite experience and the first thing I talk about when people ask about the trip. Best birthday ever! The owner and property manager were both lovely and responsive.

Our Place to be :-)

We say thank you for this wonderful week. We enjoyed everything. The magnificent pool, the Provence furniture , the beautiful evenings on the terrace, the game of boules and the wonderful summer weather and much more. We were 15 people aged 12 to 82. everyone really enjoyed this holiday.
