About Joan Kelley
Been living in the main house for more than 20 years and just decided to rent my little piece of heaven next door for the first time this year. Looking for quiet respectful people who would like to spend some quality time at the beach.
Joan Kelley purchased this Studio in 1930
Why Joan Kelley chose Rockport
OCEAN FRONT!!! You can't get any closer to the beach than you are at this property. Steps down to the beach or stay in and just enjoy the views and sounds of the ocean and its tides. Cottage has been restored to much of what it was while updated to meet today's needs. While at the same time you are at the very edge of the downtown area and across the street from a great little restaurant which great breakfast, snacks and fish.
What makes this Studio unique

A wonderful cottage!
Clean, neat, comfortable! Everything you need in one great place! A perfect get-a-way! A little piece of heaven!
Joan is wonderful!
My husband and I loved our stay in this Rockport cottage. It was truly relaxing and needed. The cottage was very comfortable, and the beautiful yard with my pups was a bonus. The view and sound of waves were fantastic. Joan was the best and we really lucked out with the weather. Thank you so much 😊
Delightful in Rockport
This little cottage surpassed our expectation. Beautiful view, wonderful location. Cottage has everything you would need and more. We enjoyed talking with the owner while getting a lot of history of Rockport. Would definitely stay there again.
This is the second year we have stayed there and it was just as wonderful as the last time. Great place to get away and relax very peaceful.
Great View and Owner
If you are looking for the best location in Rockport (or anywhere on Cape Ann) with a great view of the ocean from your room, this is your place! Joan is a great host and has done a fabulous job in stocking the cottage with all of the essentials needed for a great stay. We seriously were amazed at how many thoughtful items were in the cottage and how well everything was organized (it didn't feel crowded despite the relatively small space). As others have pointed out, the bathroom is smaller than you'd get at a hotel (not a lot of maneuverability), so just know that going in and you won't be disappointed. Also, my wife had a minor allergic reaction (we assumed to dogs that may have been here before) which required a late run to Walgreens for an inhaler. Otherwise, it was perfect and we'd definitely stay here again. Lastly, we loved being able to walk just a few minutes over to all the shops and restaurants in Rockport, even though most weren't open for the season yet in late April. P.S. If you like a 1-2 mile walk with great views be sure to go visit Halibut State park during your stay here. It's only a short 5-10 minute drive and you won't be disappointed!
A little gem
Joan is the sweetest! Great little place! Sleeps 2 comfortably! We stayed in April and the weather was fine. Not too much activity on the beach. Walking distance to Bearskin neck shops. Nate’s is across the street for breakfast. Gloucester has a great restaurant “ Seaport Grille” you will not be disappointed.
So this little gem has everything you need. Nice kitchen area. Small bath but that was fine with us. Good size fridge. Comfortable couch & chair in living area. Cable~ WiFi. Beautiful breeze & heat if you need it. Also has air conditioner if needed.
Nice little grassy area to eat outside. Or grab a couple chairs & walk a few steps to the beach below.
We will be back!!! Hopefully this summer!
