great apartment, great neighbourhood
Located in a vibrant neighbourhood, this apartment is easily the best-equipped we have ever stayed in. I cannot think of a single thing anyone could possibly need that isn't there.
The apartment is comfortable, has plenty of space and is spotless. There is a notebook which explains not only the various appliances in the apartment but also how things work in Paris. As well, there is a bookshelf with many books to read (mostly in French) and a number of travel guides to the city.
The kitchen is well appointed with plenty of dishes and cutlery. There is even a chef's knife and sharpener which are not always a given in a rental, not to mention a very welcome salad spinner.
Communication with Steven was excellent. He always got back to us when we had questions. He even gave us the option of coming a day early when we were faced with a rail strike. We were grateful that he was able to accommodate us.
The neighbourhood itself is vibrant with a number of shopping options right around the corner: Carrefour express a block away, Carrefour market on avenue général Leclerc, a number of boulangeries and, a couple of blocks down avenue général Leclerc, a butcher, fishmonger, cheesemonger and vegetable stand. Across the street a wine shop: Nicolas. If you speak French, the merchants in this area will treat you like one of the neighbourhood family.
The longer we stayed, the more we loved this place.
We will be back!
Nice area Petite Montrouge
Clean, spacious apartment with comfortable bed and fast wifi. Circular staircase to access apartment. Vibrant, eclectic neighborhood which is a good walk from the Seine.
Great place and fantastic location
The flat had all the amenities that you would need. Very clean and great location. Would highly recommend their place
Charming Old Apartment near Metro and Parc
We enjoyed our stay very much. It's on a main street but found it to be mostly quiet at night. Especially helpful was arranging to meet Aaron ahead of time to acquaint us to the apartment and where things were and how to use them (especially the washing machine which is very different then US machines). The bedroom was quite small (could barely make it around the bed) but the bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed having the little eating area and all the light. We felt very safe. Loved having the Boulangerie right across the street. I recommend picking up food from an open market (we went to one at the base of the Montparnasse Tower) and enjoy a lovely picnic at the Park Montsouris, just 10 minutes walk from the apartment. Only downside was the HEAT (which of course is beyond your control) but another good fan would have helped. The small fan didn't work well. The large fan was a lifesaver! Easy walk to Alesia metro and 10 minutes walk to RER line (Denfort/Rochereau) stop to and from airport.
Paris with granddaughters
We loved Paris. The apartment was perfect for us. It was a great location, close to the train station, restaurants, stores. We would definitely stay here again. Loved it!!!!
Perfect spot; perfect apartment (Endroit parfait; appartement parfait)
We so enjoyed our stay at this property. We already knew the neighborhood and were happey to be back. Wonderful location with easy access to all of Paris. Tastefully decorated, wonderful books, complete kitchen. We loved watching the world go by on rue d'Alésia. Some spots we enjoyed: Le Vaudésir (41 rue Dareau); Le Comptoir (18 ave René Coty); Café Daguerre (4 ave du Générale Leclerc--We LOVE this café!); and L'Académie du Pain just across the street from the apartment. You can't go wrong with this property. Bravo!
Bravo!
