Garden exceeded expectations with a lovely pool. House full of tasteful furniture and extraordinary collection of artifacts to be seen. Disappointed no linen included in the rental and lack of mirror in one bedroom. All in all we had a wonderful holiday here and would happily return.
Garden and pool were absolutely perfect. Fantastic outdoor cooking areas and perfect location for exploring a beautiful area.
This house is absolutely wonderful and Beatrice was a fantastic host. The house was spacious and clean, and the garden/pool area is large and well maintained. The supermarket and bakery are a very short walk from the house, as are the two excellent restaurants.
The village itself is gorgeous, and I strongly recommend anyone who comes here has a meal at Petit Paris - one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten.
I’d love to return to Daglan and if I do I will definitely be trying to book this house again!
An amazing retreat in the heart of Daglan
We came to stay at Beatrice's house after spending a week camping so it was lovely to come and relax in a house with a private pool etc. We stayed with my brother's family as well, and the house was plenty large enough for the 6 of us- with lots of areas to chill out and relax together or apart.
The kitchen is well equipped, with sharp knives and two large fridges so easy to store all your rose wine boxes! The town has a useful supermarket just a few hundred yards up the road plus a couple of restaurants so eating is not an issue. We BBQed a couple of nights at well.
The floors in the old house are a bit creaky, so take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. The rooms were comfortable and could be blacked out at night.
The property has parking at the rear, with the entrance through the long garden. We enjoyed playing loads of ping pong and swimming- the pool was kept immaculately clean very early each day.
One minor niggle- we had to pay for bedding in cash-which is noted on the website. Also, there was no soap, and only a couple of dishwasher cubes. Personally I'd rather have all these consumables included so I don't have to go and shop for small amounts of laundry stuff and soap etc though I accept that the house was a reasonable cost.
Overall we loved staying here- there is loads to do all around the area and Daglan itself is a hidden gem with everything you could need for a holiday.
Exceptional - not to be missed!
Absolutely wonderful property, with very friendly/ helpful owners, set in a fabulous location with the amazing La Cantine on the doorstep, with tremendous local dishes, and superb friendly locals!
An ideal location for visiting the Dordogne region and tasting the Foie Gras, Confit de Canard, Vin de Domme etc.
The pool is wonderful, the table tennis competitive and trampolining
a bit scary!
It was most relaxing in the evening with a great barbecue and a glass of red to soak up the ambiance.
We had a great holiday and hope to return....

a beautiful property,everything was perfect
A great property ,the owners could not do enough for you. They were on site to meet and great !
They made a special effort for our Two year grandson with a cot and high chair etc
The house is large enough for you not to meet other members of your party.
Although you are in the centre of the village the only noise is from the church bells.
You are a 5 min., walk to a choice of 3 eating places, a small but well stocked shop and a traditional French backers.
The surrounding countryside is just wonderful ,you can cycle, walk ,canoe ,visit enchanting villages or just chill out by the swimming pool.
A property not to be missed.
At 300 m along the river "Le Céou" you have a playground for children and also a barbecue area.
