Thoroughly enjoyed it. Perfect city escape for us in amongst the karri forrest. Very peaceful and relaxing.
Was a lovely house, very comfortable & the birdlife was wonderful
We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was lovely & has lots of character - thank you
Nice and cozy place
We really enjoyed the stay and it was very peaceful. Just the holiday we needed. Recommend it to anyone.
good house, location
We enjoy the stay, the inlet is beautiful, the house is nice, the location is good.
The cleaner should pay a bit more attention. The broken plank in the carport should be fixed the soonest to prevent accident.
Had a lovely stay at this beautiful cottage surrounded by breathtaking trees. Really comfortable beds, great fire and had everything we needed.
We stayed for two nights in Winter and enjoyed our stay. The views are gorgeous through the Karri trees to the Inlet, and our two young girls (8 & 4 yrs) loved the bunkbeds and the split level open plan room. The stairs got a workout! We had some enjoyable walks in down to the inlet, I would recommend to take your gumboots this time of year!
The bathroom is nice and clean and the beds are comfortable.
Its a good location to base yourself if you want to explore the region.
The price was pretty good for the accommodation.
Just a couple of things to note that aren't made clear in the Features or Description:
The driveway is short and quite steep, fine for our 4WD, but I wouldn't have wanted to be trying to get in and out in our smaller manual hatchback.
There is a smaller wood firebox and it does take a while for the main room to warm up, though there are electric blankets on the beds and loads of extra blankets and doonas so it's manageable. Its only this time of year it would be an issue!
The TV has a DVD player, but no USB port so you can't plug in a hard drive or thumbdrive, you will need a set-top box or a WDmini or similar if you want to bring you're own media. No WIFI, though I didn't mind that so much as it forced our screen loving kids to play games and interact with each other. There is Scrabble and Pictionary in the cupboard as well as a few books to chose from.
All in all a nice stay.
