A slice of paradise.
Great location, within walking distance to Coffin Bay amenities.
Had everything we needed and more in regards to cooking, cleaning and bar set-up.
Amazing view from house looking over Coffin Bay.
Jon was great to deal with. He gave us some great fishing tips and better still made sure that right from the start we knew that we could contact him about anything.
Absolutely fantastic house and with Jon as property owner we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Thanks Jon (and Leanne) for making our 1st trip to Coffin Bay such a great experience.
Thankyou so much for your positive review Karen. It is very much appreciated. We are very happy to hear you and your guests enjoyed your stay with us in Coffin Bay. We look forward to seeing you back again one day.
Everything about this property is fantastic. The view from patio over the bay. The way it is stocked with everything you need to cook, eat, wash. Don't need to bring anything except your fishing rod. Hang on they even had them there too. We loved the place. Jon the owner was great, called me back if we had any questions. Great getaway location.
Thanks for your kind review Peter. We are pleased to hear you and your guests had a great stay, and enjoyed the fishing. You are all welcome back anytime.
This our second time back at this property and we absolutely love our stay there. The location and views are just perfect and the house is really homely and comfy. The owners are absolutely fantastic to work with and are so accomodating. Will definitely be back here again next year.
It was lovely to welcome you back again Nikki. Thank you for the kind review. We are pleased you had a great stay.
Enjoyed the Serenity
A great place for a family to enjoy with that genuine "shack" appeal and close to all the towns facilities. Great outdoor area with a terrific view. Its not your modern townhouse but an honest clean functional property. Again great for a family to enjoy. Thanks and we will return -Andrew
Thanks heaps for your review Andrew. Much appreciated. Love to have you back anytime.
This property has all you need for a fishing or just relaxing holiday at Coffin Bay. The view is breathtaking and the facilities are abundant and all you could need as well as clean and tidy, it really is a credit to the owners and local staff alike. The owners/hosts are terrific people, whilst we were there we had a medical emergency and Jon was very helpful and caring during our time of need. I cannot recommend this place enough, it's really is spot on - thank you Jon and Leanne,we appreciate everything you have done and we most certainly will be back
Thanks so much for your kind review of our holiday home. Bottom line is we were so pleased to hear the emergency hospital visit was successful. Your feedback to us about the great treatment received at the Port Lincoln hospital, its' staff and all other amenities, was very heartening. The love, care & comfort afforded by those on the land, and it's surrounds, is second to none !! We look forward to having you back again some time, to enjoy more of what the region has on offer.
Perfect spot for a weekend getaway. We loved the outdoor entertaining area and special views!
Cheers Tynan. You are welcome back anytime. Regards, HOWSTHASERENITEE
The property is a short walk from the shops located in Coffin Bay, such as the butcher, Beachcomber Cafe, Pizza Bar, Post Office, Pharmacy outlet and the General Store. The sailing and golf clubs serve meals on selected days, and the Coffin Bay Hotel serves meals every day. It's only a 10 min walk to the jetty and best of all, only 150m to the fabulous 1802 Oyster Bar & Bistro.
The newly opened "Oyster HQ" is also worth a look, and only 500m down the road.
Fishing charters and cruises operate out of Coffin Bay and other adventure tours are available, including oyster tours. Maybe try the Oyster Walk. It is a 15km walking trail offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Coffin Bays abundant flora and fauna plus magnificent water views. This well defined trail meanders along the foreshore, between the holiday shacks and homes and up to the lookout and through to the Old Oystertown. You can either stroll any section of the Oyster Walk, or take on the challenge of completing one or more of it's sections,
But if walking is not your thing, just sit on the patio & enjoy the view over the bay !!
ABOUT THE REGION
Coffin Bay is situated on the Eyre Peninsula just 30 mins drive from Port Lincoln via the B100 bitumen highway, and on the doorstep of the glorious Coffin Bay National Park. There is lots to do: boating, fishing, fishing charters, swimming, canoeing and other water sports, as well as walking trails and great scenery.
Qantas and Rex Airlines fly to Port Lincoln from Adelaide several times a day. Pre-booked hire cars can be picked up at the airport.
From Adelaide it is an approx 700 km drive via Port Augusta to Coffin Bay. Regrettably the Sea SA car ferry, which runs across the Spencer Gulf daily from Wallaroo to Lucky Bay is currently out of service.
The wild west coastline of the Eyre Peninsula runs north from Coffin Bay and has a series of sandy beaches, rocky cliffs and headlands with almost nobody there. There are virtually no buildings or settlements along this magnificent coastline until Elliston, about 120 km away.
The Coffin Bay National Park is accessed through the Coffin Bay Township. A relatively small and scenically splendid part of the Park is accessed easily on sealed roads . The remainder of the Park to the west has a diversity of scenery, but can only be reached with 4 wheel drive vehicles.
Port Lincoln is well developed for tourism, with attractions such as swimming with tuna, shark cage diving, fishing or sailing charters, wineries and restaurants. Many Port Lincoln people tow their boats to launch them at Farm Beach, as it is widely renowned for its productive fishing grounds. Farm Beach is only 25kms from Coffin Bay. The Port Lincoln National Park has much of interest, but the Coffin Bay National Park has more. It's probably a biased opinion but hey, that's what we reckon.
