One word for this place... (ok... maybe 3 or 4): Hip, Best Location, True New Orleans Living. It is perfection!
Let's take one thing at a time.
Hip: We decorated this condo for maximum comfort and feeling like you are in a bright, beautiful and welcoming home. Lots of local art and comfortable furniture to hang out on. Make yourself a cocktail in front or grill some fresh fish from the Big Fisherman (right there on Magazine) with a cold beer or daiquiri in back. This place is designed for hanging out and feeling like a local.
Best Location: There is no better location in New Orleans. It is quiet and historic, but with everything you need at your fingertips. Watch the parades and walk back to use the bathroom or chill out. Wander through the shops and eat your way through town without needing a cab or a car. This is the Irish Channel... a historical and eclectic neighborhood with all the funk you need within a few blocks. Plenty of parking in front.
True New Orleans Living: Whether you just want to hang out in the condo and read or go listen to brass bands til 3AM, this condo lets you do it all. Your neighbors all live and work in New Orleans and there are very few tourists around. You can truly feel and live like a local.
Note... this area of town is on high ground was not flooded!

My husband and I have owned this place since 2005. We renovated the condos and sold them off, keeping one for ourselves as a getaway from grown-up-land. We are excited to share it with you!
The Owner purchased this condo in 2005
This is our favorite part of New Orleans. It is quiet, eclectic, historic and near everything we love. Walk to the parades or chill out at one of the bars only a few short blocks away.
You will feel like a real local. Stuff yourself in one of the incredible restaurants and stagger home for a nice nap in the air conditioning. No matter what time of year, something fun is always happening in New Orleans!
OK. We LOVED this place. It is beautiful. Wood floors, old world feeling, very hip. Magazine street is amazing and right there. We found the kitchen totally fine and great. The back patio is funky and fun and cozy and private. Yay! Definitely coming back.
The housing on my stay was great. Everything described in the add was true to form. The amenities were just what we needed. A comfortable bed, cozy home and a nice little kitchenette to make breakfast every morning.
We did have a hiccup with the heat but our owner quickly responded, supplied a heater, fixed the issue and went above and beyond to make sure we were accommodated.
Her advice for where to go and what to see was perfect for us, great food, great music. Couldn't ask for a better trip.
My family of 3 just stayed for 5 nights. Jenny was very responsive when dealing with her. I read a previous review about it being clean. It was clean enough, but could have used a little deeper clean. The house is quirky...The only TV is in the bedroom area and a couple of cats have claimed the chairs on the patio. This is a great option vs. a hotel. The location was great for us. A short walk to Magazine street with all of the great shops and restaurants can't be beat. We ate 3 times at Arana which had delicious Mexican, from 3-7 happy hour with half priced drinks and tacos! Saucy J's BBQ was also a great place to eat. There is parking out front of the house which is a bonus. The house had everything we needed for our stay. The patio in the back is great for morning coffee. There were some games at the house..Scrabble and Yahtzee that my daughter and I enjoyed playing each night and the washer and dryer worked great. We packed less knowing we had that at the condo to use. I would recommend Jenny's condo to any of my family or friends looking to experience NOLA.
A cozy stay over New Year's -- we loved being in walking distance of the shops and restaurants on Magazine Street, and there was room for four of us to relax comfortably during our downtime. It was very bare bones -- three bath towels, no coffee filters, etc -- but we made ourselves at home and had a great time. Thanks for the stay!
House was not very comfortable. Kitchen was very poorly equipped--no oven (which we could have lived without had there been a toaster).
The tv would have been much better in the living room. The bathroon needs an exhaust fan. An ironing board would have been nice, too.
But, as warm as New Orleans was when we were there, the ceiling fan and a/c were a god-send. Enjoyed the patio, too.
This cottage was very cute and comfortable, it was the perfect size for my husband and me. Also the location was great! Very walkable to our favorite spots on magazine and also about a 20 min. walk to the streetcar. My only suggestion would be to add some sort of patio lights in the back courtyard. It's such a great place to enjoy a cocktail, but it does get rather dark at night.
Jenny was easy to reach with any questions, she was also very accommodating. Since there were no guests staying immediately after us she allowed us to keep our luggage in the cottage while we enjoyed one last day in NOLA. It was a relief not having to lug our bags around with us all day before our late flight.
All in all very good value for the money and we would definitely book here again!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage was clean and had all we needed to feel at home. It was in a great location and we walked to Magazine St. to shop and eat out. We definitely recommend it for a weekend getaway. Jenny was always available if we needed help, but we didn't. Loved it!
