About Ellen Pons
I live on my family's commercial thoroughbred nursery in Bel Air Maryland Country Life Farm, When not helping out in a myriad of ways with the farms. I work as a professional photographer and artist. I love spending time exploring nature over any social gathering. I spend more time and money shopping at home improvement stores than department stores. When I travel I like to park the car, read, paint and listen to good music,
Ellen Pons purchased this Apartment in 1957
Why Ellen Pons chose Crozier
Clover Hill is the farm my great aunt and uncle chose in 1957 to downsize as retirement loomed from his job at Farmers and Merchants bank. I purchased it from my siblings in 2008. Goochland is a lovely cedar tree dotted landscape where nature still rules. I love the quiet of the farm and the close proximity to Richmond / Ashland and Charlottesville. But I mostly just like staying on the farm with family friends and my dogs watching the day roll by from the porch of the Rosalie.

Enjoyed being back in Crozier where we used to live. Place a good value and so much better than staying in motel. Our dogs loved it.
Would recommend it to anyone who likes beautiful views and quiet countryside. PSmith
Great place to stay
Very Nice Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect, out in the country and away from the big city, yet close enough for us to explore Richmond and the surrounding area. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay. Thank you.
This was a great location for being close to a wedding in Richmond. We could have our dog with lots of beautiful pastures to wander in. The steps are a bit steep and narrow to the downstairs kitchen and living area which should be noted. Wasn’t an issue for us, but could be for some.
The kitchen was well stocked and plenty of linens.
Sitting on the porch with an outside fireplace was wonderful our first evening
The host was available by phone if needed.
Peaceful and relaxing.Lots of history.
Pastoral, homey and very comfy.
The setting was quiet and pastoral. The Rosalie was filled with original artwork and historical photos and maps. The bedroom skylight let morning light in to brighten the day. I love the peaked wooden roof and all the homey touches you just don't find in a motel.
