About this property

La Ferme de Marie is an authentic Alsatian farm restored in an ecological way respecting the tradition, it is located in a large Alsatian farmhouse from 1607.
We only used natural materials, lime, linseed oil, mud, wood wool ..... The old stones, the old woods, the alcove, the neat decoration make it a museum house is a truly unique experience!

Louise's stub is a 1 bedroom apartment on the ground floor of our Alsatian farm.

At your disposal a park and a large garden, a shaded terrace, the space is enclosed by stone walls.
The space revolves around several gardens or flowery spaces that we maintain without chemicals.

The site is particularly aimed at lovers of old stones, nature, calm and animals (rabbits, donkeys, goats, chickens, geese, ducks, etc.).

Compromising

Although we loved the idea and style of the accommodations and farm, we did compromise on some levels. The room had natural light but to have privacy., the shutters had to be closed which made it very dark. And although there were lamps, there were not any extra outlets for recharging cellphones or a cpap machine so the lamps had to be unplugged. The bathroom was dark and the towels did not dry overnight. The linens on the fold out sofa did not feel crispy clean. The house cat was very friendly, we liked that.

Pas honnêtes et pas fiables

Ils ont décidé de me donner un autre logement le jour de mon arrivée que celui que j avais réservé pour « m’aider » (handicap), résultat : appart beaucoup plus petit, avec un étage donc pas accessible alors que celui réservé est de plein pied. J ai du partir au bout de trois jours (au lieu des 7 prévus) car pas du tout adapté - ils m’ont dit qu ils me rembourseraient la différence: j attends toujours mais apparemment je ne suis pas « une priorité ». Le wifi/tv est plus qu approximatif si ce n’est très souvent inexistant, Bouygues ne capte pas du tout, le chauffage dépend de leur bonne volonté (réglage à distance par les hôtes). Bref, malgré le charme bucolique et leur sympathie de façade, ne gâchez pas vos vacances, et passez votre chemin.

Formidable!

Nous avons passé une semaine formidable! Tout était chouette. Tout d'abord Fred et Fredo, très à l'écoute, chaleureux et sympathiques, sans chichi. Puis la "stub de Louise", qui a beaucoup de cachet, avec son poêle allumé matin et soir pour notre plus grand plaisir. Puis le jardin, très joli et vivant avec ses oies, poules et lapins. Et enfin, la région elle-même, avec ses beaux villages et ses vergers en fleurs. Bref, un endroit où l'on se sent bien, avec des propriétaires adorables qui ont su preserver l'authenticité de cette ferme.
