The condo is located in a prime location in New Orleans Historical French Quarter. Just a few blocks from Bourbon

Street. The location is perfect! As you can see in the pictures the 1350 sqft two bedroom, two full bath condo has just recently been renovated and furnshed. Everything in the building and unit is highend. You will not be dissapointed by the accommodation or the location. You are within walking distance of everything New Orleans has to offer. You are even in walking distance of The Mercedes Benz Super Dome. If you want to experience New Orleans the way it should be this is the location for you...

The most common definition of the French Quarter includes all the land stretching along the Mississippi River from Canal Street to Esplanade Avenue (12 blocks) and inland to North Rampart Street (seven to nine blocks). It equals an area of 78 sq. blocks. Some definitions, such as city zoning laws, exclude the properties facing Canal Street, which had already been redeveloped by the time architectural preservation was considered, and the section between Decatur Street and the river, much of which had long served industrial and warehousing functions. Any alteration to structures in the remaining blocks is subject to review by the Vieux Carré Commission, which determines whether the proposal is appropriate for the historic character of the district. Its boundaries as defined by the City Planning Commission are: Esplanade Avenue to the north, the Mississippi River to the east, Canal Street, Decatur Street and Iberville Street to the south and the Basin Street, St. Louis Street and North Rampart Street to the west.[4] Bourbon Street is a famous and historic street that spans the length of the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana. When founded in 1718, the city was originally centered around the French Quarter.[1] New Orleans has since expanded, but 'The Quarter' remains the cultural hub, and Bourbon Street is the street best known by visitors.

The most popular section of Bourbon Street is 'Upper Bourbon Street', an eight-block section of popular tourist attractions. Bourbon Street begins at Canal Street (across Canal is Carondelet Street in the New Orleans Central Business District). The straight street continues downriver, southwest to northeast a few blocks from and roughly paralleling the Mississippi River, and comes to its terminus at Pauger Street in the Faubourg Marigny. (In the 19th century, Pauger was named as a continuation of Bourbon Street.) Bourbon Street was named in honor of the House of Bourbon, the ruling French Royal Family, at the time of the city's founding.

From Dumaine Street to Pauger, Bourbon Street is largely residential with scattered businesses still catering to locals. Also on this stretch of Bourbon exists (Jean) Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop, which is a very popular bar, showing the style of the original French buildings (before the Spanish iron balconies) which burned in the first Great New Orleans Fire (1788).

Though largely quiet during the day, Bourbon Street comes alive at night, particularly during the French Quarter's many festivals. Most popular among these is the annual Mardi Gras celebration, when Bourbon Street teems with hundreds of thousands of tourists. Local open container laws in the French Quarter allow drinking alcoholic beverages in the street in plastic containers (drinking from glass or cans is prohibited). The streets are packed with tourists drinking Hurricanes, Hand Grenades and Huge Ass Beers - a large plastic cup of draft beer marketed to tourists at a low price. Other festivals and events focusing on Bourbon Street include French Quarter Festival and Southern Decadence.

One of the oldest and most popular restaurants on Bourbon Street is Galatoire's, which was founded in 1905 by Jean Galatoire. Known for years by its characteristic line snaking down Bourbon Street, patrons would wait for hours just to get a table — especially on Fridays.

Perfect long weekend in the French Quarter

We spent the long weekend with friends and this condo was perfect for us. Hard wood floors, high ceilings, exposed brick, leather living room furniture, everything was clean, comfortable and ready to go when we arrived. The bedrooms don't share a wall and they each have their own bathroom so it was like having the privacy of a hotel room while still being able to hang out, socialize and relax when we weren't out and about. The location is within walking distance to all of the French Quarter attractions and conveniences. The washer and dryer in the room were an added bonus. Other reviewers have mentioned the noise in the street, but it wasn't a deal breaker for any of the folks in our group. Small price to pay for being in such close proximity to fun. Will definitely try to stay here again the next time we're in town.

Visitors from Down Under

We arrived in New Orleans not knowing what to really expect with regard to the location of the condo and how easy it would be to access the city. We were very happy with what we found. The condo is in a great location, being close enough to everything a tourist would want to visit and see. Restaurants nearby were good and explore a little and you will find even better. The hosts were very accommodating and this was appreciated. We must be heavy sleepers as the noise didn't affect us. The only thing I can suggest is an information booklet on good places to eat, shop and visit, maybe some TV instructions too as it took a while to work it out. Loved the place and would definitely recommend

Many pros, a few cons....

As others have mentioned, night time / early morning noise an issue. So many places under construction nearby and the work starts loud and early (6-7 am). The one bedroom is big and quieter with a smaller on suite bath. The other room is huge with huge bath and that one was really loud. That being said, thanks to other reviews we came prepared With earplugs and white noise makers and we were fine. The location was great. 5 min to bourbon street which was great. I felt very safe in the neighborhood and the building.

One thing lacking - information on things. We had no idea what to do with the garbage or recycling or how to work the tvs. We could not get any of the remotes to work for any of the tvs the 4 days we were there. it would also be nice to know where the closest grocery and liq store etc are.

There are many good bars and restaurants within blocks- Evangeline was a great dinner spot. And a great coffee shop a block away - Envie. We made some breakfasts at the condo which had a nice kitchen and appliances - But only a high top table and stools with no backs so not very comfy for anything more than a small breakfast or a sandwich. Another thing is there were only 3 places to sit in the living room comfortably so putting another chair there would be a plus.

Overall I Would recommend the condo and give it a very positive rating. A few minor changes and it would be even better. Thanks to the fantastic residents of this awesome city for a memorable weekend. No place like it on earth!

Such a comfortable space!

We had an amazing trip for my birthday. It was in a great location, walking distance to the casino, French Market and Bourbon St area. The condo is just as pictured, absolutely beautiful. It was so comfortable and spacious. There was continuous action in the alley, but I enjoyed the people watching. I would definitely recommend this place and I would definitely stay there again. The owners were always available and were very accommodating. Thanks for the recommendations on places to eat, too! I fell in love with the condo and New Orleans!

Beautiful Place /Great Location in NOLA...but.....

Our stay was July 2016. Here's how we would rate it:

Location A ++ - Within walking distance to everything but just far away from the gong show that is the Big Easy. Great spot.

Decor A + - Newly chic/retro renovated, everything great, very clean, working order, kitchen great ,huge TV's in each room,

Air Conditioning A + - was over 40 degrees every day we were there and was nice to get back to the condo to that.

Safety - A + - See location comments, keypad entry fabulous

Contact / Response - A+ - Britt and Gerard were great / professional and usually within the hour. Awesome customer service.

Proximity A+ - House of Blues across the street, two blocks to Bourbon, 1.5 blocks to Canal shopping / Casino

, 10 minutes to Jackson Square, some great restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk...

Overall a great location, a beautiful place and a good value price wise for what you get....

But!...and hate to mention this because of all the positives...we would be remiss if we didn't mention what other posts have mentioned re the noise in the alleyway behind the master bedroom. There was the usual NOLA noise, partiers yelling, a parade one night, and that's fine, hey... it's New Orleans, that we can handle and it usually passed quickly, but a couple of nights it sounded like a "Fight Club" event was taking place right down below...then EVERY morning at 6:00 AM the garbage trucks would come by the alley, and EVERY morning set off the alarms of the row of cars parked overnight as it did so, and then at about 7:00 AM , the three Kings / Philosophers (as we referred to them) would be debating life in the alley until they started work at whatever time...from 7:30 AM onward, sure was quiet then, but we were long up by then. We didn't get much sleep in the 4 nights and wish we could say it was because of other reasons. Our daughter in the other bedroom, however, never heard a thing, being in the middle of the condo.

So just be forewarned about that.

Would we rent it again? Yes, probably (but would bring earplugs), because the positives out weight the only negative.

Excellent Condo and Location in the Vieux Carre

My family and I stayed in this condo from for the 4th of July/EMF weekend. From the time we booked Brittanie and Gerard were very helpful and responsive. I can tell you that the condo looks EXACTLY like the pictures! The secure entry into the building and the unit is a definite plus. The unit is decorated wonderfully and has plenty of houseware items in stock (towels, tissue, paper towels, cleaning supplies, detergent, shower gel etc.). It's a stone's throw to shopping, restaurants, bars, and clubs so everything is at your fingertips. There's plenty of sunlight from the backend of the unit and the closet space is amazing. I found myself taking several bubble baths in the master and enjoying the enormous King bed and flat screen in the bedrooms. The bedding is very elegant and the flooring is posh! The electronics are all up to date and I enjoyed listening to music on the cable tv or IPod docking station during my down time. :). The kitchen is also very nice and well equipped. I can't say enough good things about the property and the owners. I will be back next year!
