About Odile Hoog Rousseau
We have been living in this village for about 25 years ; we know the area pretty well and we like to share the knowledge we have of the area (historical background, outdoor activites, gastronomy...) Odile is an English teacher in Avallon, the nearest ciry and Marc has just retired ; However he was a building contractor and he has renovated part of the house . He likes gardening and is doing his best for the garden to look great in all seasons !
Odile Hoog Rousseau purchased this House in 2002

Lovely well equipped house
Great house with lots of space and garden. Only two of us in a house with five bedrooms. Well equipped modern kitchen in a house with lots of character but modern bathrooms. Everything you could possibly require in a holiday house. Odile and Mark have made it a first class property and it was a pleasure to meet them. Two miles down the road from Vezelay and so much to do and see in this area. House is down narrow lane behind the cafe but room to park large car in yard ....even our BMW X5. Many Thanks Odile we had a wonderful week and would recommend your house to anyone. Xx
Thanks a lot for your top class comments on ou house. We are glad you had a good time in asquins. See you some ôter time maybe odile
A great place to stay
A beautiful house, with lots of character ( there is a bread oven from the era gone by, decorating the living room ). The very nicely decorated five bedrooms are very clean and comfortable. We loved the little town of Asquins as well as other small towns in the area.It was like stepping back in time. Odile was very kind and helpful , she even brought us some vegetables from her garden. The place is very well situated for all sorts of sightseeing activities : castles , churches , caves , archeological sites , lakes , you name it , and the countryside is just gorgeous. We had a truly memorable vacation and we would definitely come back in the future.
2 kms from Vezelay, one of Europe most famous Roman Abbaye, on the vineyard reknown for its dry white wines, in the Morvan Regional Park famous for its lakes and beautiful scenery. A lot of outdoor activites (hiking, fishing, canoeing, cycling, horse riding). A historical and gastronomic area.
