We will rock you – Round Rock's main attractions
The best place to get your bearings in the city is where it all started. The large round rock at Brushy Creek Crossing once marked the low-water crossing for Indians and early settlers. Ideal for a family-friendly vacation, spend the day at the Texas Museum of Science and Technology, which also has a planetarium. Cool off from the Texan heat at the Rock'N River Water Park. Located within the Old Settlers Park complex, it has an artificial beach, several twisting slides, and a lazy river.

It has a mix of independent and high street shops, plus a premium outlet mall for the designer bargain hunters. Catch a baseball game at one of the city's 3 baseball stadiums. After dark, head back to Downtown and sample Round Rock's many microbreweries, cool music bars, and farm-to-table restaurants.
Prepare for year-round hot in Round Rock
Round Rock is a year-round destination. The busiest times to visit are during the balmy summer months, between June and August, when Round Rock vacation rentals get snapped up. Summers are sizzling hot, with temperatures regularly reaching 100 degrees, but humidity is high and rain is frequent. For more comfortable temperatures, visit in the shoulder seasons of spring and fall, when the days are dry, and temperatures a more manageable 70-80 degrees. Winter is cooler still, but the mercury rarely drops below 60 degrees, and snow is rare.
