Rain showers usually happen in November and early spring, but don't expect any snow on this coast. The winter holidays are a quiet but still fun time to visit, with Christmas festivities and lights aplenty, plus mild lows in the 40s.

About 5 miles away is Gouffre de l'Oeil-Doux (the Chasm of the Sweet Eye), a beautiful sinkhole surrounded by limestone cliffs.
